New Swing logo animation

Yeah! Three tries to get a message to load up just a few minutes ago and three error messages just now trying to get this forum topic to open. Same shit different day!

Glad we can all breathe now! Most folks have been holding their collective breath in great anticipation of the 2nd coming of SLS and a site that actually caters to its members. Alas! Not to fret too much as the present site does work correctly 98% of the time!!!

Yes so that means we will continue to have the same old problems with just a new site name.

Wayne has gone on record clarifying that we’re NOT getting a rebranded new site, just a logo change (and apparently the new home page) that redirects back to this site.

Wayne stated in a reply to another post:

“There is no brand new (separate) site. The rebranding and updating is for the existing site.“

Looks like there’s a couple profiles spamming.

The swing . com domain was created in 1997, but was updated in May of 2022, so that’s likely when it was transferred. It seems like it’s in name only. I doubt there’s a huge rebuild going on with the responses to the ongoing issues here.

Well, we're optimistic of getting a newer up to date site. I mean, it's absolutely counter productive and pretty foolish to waste time and resources on a rebrand, but keep the same defunct and problematic website. What purpose would just changing the name serve other than maybe temporarily making some believe it's not the same old site that has the reputation it does for issues. We do enjoy the site and the established network here. We just want to see it function as intended with a feature rich end user experience.

I think SLS has been sitting on the new domain name for quite some time.

We're hoping the new and improved site works as well as the new logo does.

I would have thought that the swing. com domain name would have long since had someone sitting on it just for the purpose of up-selling it to someone.

Must agree with Roger&Jess. It's the same site, just a different domain name. Not much else changes.

"@biloxi, it sounds like a new site is in the works and if you type in swing dot com it takes you to a whole new home/login page."

Nah!! If you type in "swing dot com" you are redirected to "swinglifestyle dot com". It is not different in any way. You can get the same result by typing "sls dot com".

It still doesn't work and the nanny police are busy telling you what you can't do with the service you purchased!

Let's look at the bright side people...

The animation actually works...

@biloxi, it sounds like a new site is in the works and if you type in swing dot com it takes you to a whole new home/login page.

Does "rebranding" mean a new site or just a new name?

Westmoreland, NY, Us

Couplefun, wondering if we’ll just see that as the new logo once the site launches fully? We’re looking forward to the rebirth of SLS ourselves!

So when the rebranding takes place, will gumby stop jumping? It's really annoying looped like it is.

Why does Green Gumby Man turn into a frog when he jumps onto the gold logo?

AlexBigDog - "Ok everybody look at the animation and think real hard!!!!!!!!!!!!! What do you think it is telling you"

At first I thought it was a swinger (green) gumby jumping into and blending in with some vanilla (colored) ones. Wayne's explanation makes more sense. I do also find the continual jumping distracting and hope they do away with the animation sometime soon.

So when can we expect the switch over to the new site?

@sls_WayneC/et al: thanks for the update and letting us know we're not about to be screwed over. It's good to know.

It would also be good to know that you're actively trying to get ahead of your competitors by truly updating this platform.
And the new swing.c is going to be rebuilt totally from scratch.
And that email's coming back.
And the wall's going away (or drastically reconceptualized).
And that photo management becomes common sense.
And a "flirt" function's added.
And the overall look and feel are updated to add at least a touch of sophistication.
And the gumby logo gets put to rest and replaced by something classier.

/Rant, thanks for your efforts.

Thank you for the update Wayne! That should put members at ease. Now, bring on the new site! WooHoo!

Yes.. Finally Kudos!

But we knew it..

<p><strong>SwingLifeStyle.com is rebranding to Swing.com. For several years, we have been updating areas of the site and adding new features. This is a continuation of that work to improve the site interfaces and performance. These changes will not affect the terms of any paid memberships. Unlimited members have full access to all features (old and new) for as long as they keep their profile.</strong></p>

Well, if you put swing.c om into the google machine, it brings you to a website.

The website tells you to enter your SLS username and password. Do that and it brings you here...

Westmoreland, NY, Us

PonyChaser, That’s the big question. Many feel skeptical because of the sequence of events like the change in membership name and the real lack of addressing the issues here. If they are getting ready to rebrand and launch a new site with new name why waste resources keeping the old one alive? Time will tell or maybe Wayne can go on the record to dispel any rumors.
