So messages still not working. I think it's been a week now. I even tried on my desktop and still the same thing. Keeps buffering than when you try to go back it freezes. You have to exit the app and than open again. How is everyone having the same problem but you say it's not the site?
I have been have problem with messages for 5 day, I have clear cache, data everything and I still can not get messages. All it does is show a continuous looping circle saying loading if I try anything else it locks up and I have to close the app.
As usual, the messaging system took a dumb on the weekend. Sad to say but this site was 10 times better 10 years ago.
Mersages not working on my Samsung cell phone's native internet app, however if i use google chrome on my phone it works. You need to see why its not working on other platforms than chrome.

Here is a very specific description:
Using the desktop website (not the App), on an Android Phone.
Go to messages,
Messages will not load (spinning circles).
Can't back out, need to exit the software and get back in.
This has only happened over the last couple of days (see my post from earlier this week).
I got a BIG RED banner across the top of my Home Page....."You have photos but none are selected as your default photo!"
What?????? I never changed to default!
I see message is fuck up again.
Says it loading then freezes
Haven't been on in a couple of months. Does the message notification work again?
Have sign out several messages and i have not got one reply.
Wayne, I appreciate your reply and potential reasons why. I checked our settings: and it’s not that. Also we are lifetime members, so payment is the issue either. It doesn’t happen every time, but is definitely annoying.

<p>The issue is that we cannot recreate this. It is impossible for us to fix anything that we do not see happening. I use the site and send and receive messages every single day. Everything works perfectly. I believe you when you say it is not working for you, but we find no issues on our end.</p>
<p>The only thing I know of is if you are hiding your profile from free members, you cannot send messages to free members. The message will just disappear when you try to send it. That can also happen with a profile that just recently paid, if it has not fully updated. You can go to "Tools" and "Privacy Features" to unhide your profile from free members to see if that makes a difference.</p>

seriously, its such a basic function of the site, to be able to communicate with other members... when is this consistant crap gonna get fixed????
When I go to messages it just spins, with no way to back out. Have to exit SLS and re-enter.
Messages have been working for us as of late, but it’s still a good practice to copy to clipboard any substantial message before hitting send. This way if it vanishes, you can paste and try until it goes through. We’ve adopted this as a backup whenever we message anything lengthy.
Sorry to say Wayne, messages are not working CONSISTENTLY. Typed out a Message, hit send and it completely vanished, so I typed it all again copied it, fortunately that one went through.
No sense is sending a support ticket at this point. But indeed it is not working consistently.

I created a post last night about messages not going through, they just vanish when i hit the send button. Today, my post has vanished. On top of that not a single message went to the recipient yesterday. I can't decide what is the biggest joke, this website or it's gate keepers!
FWIW - On SLS's closest competitor's site, they were having issues with keeping their IM working. It's rare, but at least in their case they have both Email and IM, and the Email appeared to be working fine.
Well yes the bird is flying and message counts are showing but no pics showing on the main page and took 3 try's to get the forum to load
I see the bird flying and the red notice that it isn't working at the same time.
Wow I just got a message notification with the fly bird.
All of my messages are gone - total blank and empty.
