$20 on further fuck ups with the next release. Their track record is solid...
Hot Date Approval delay!
"I wonder if there is any other way to fuck up the site any further?"
Somewhere there's an IT person mumbling "Challenge accepted..."
I doubt we will want to use Hot Date anymore. Most of our usage for it was us on a Saturday night spontaneously wanting to meet up. A 6-12+ hour delay renders the feature useless.
I wonder if there is any other way to fuck up the site any further?
Are the rules for whats allowed and whats not allowed for hot date posting listed somewhere?
OCBJ, can you share what that site that starts with K is? Are other venues not allowed to be mentioned here? We're noticing the trend down the slope here and it seems we're in need of a site that is better able to provide what we thought we were paying for. What a shame if this site censors the mention of others. If this site thought it was doing so great for it's users it wouldn't be intimidated that it's users knew of other ones.
I was also told that I cannot do hotdates involving meet and greets open to multiple people. They do know what this site is for?
Wait......do I understand this correctly? SLS is asking us to "plan ahead" for our Hot Dates?
Is there a better example of a company not understanding its customers? How can they not understand that sometimes plans change?
Why not recruit a bunch of users you trust and use them as moderators to approve Hot Dates and profile changes? After all, users are always on the web site. And the main page always boasts about how many swingers are on line at the moment.
We're on three other sites. Hot dates post immediately. SLS's answer is compliance with the new laws. The other sites are doing fine. No compliance issues at all.
Ya I agree! Sometimes hot dates take well over 24 hours to show up. That is unacceptable.
Ocbj, you are right. Its all about money. They take the cheapest route possible, including waiting for the hamster to spin the wheel. Profile updates take two days, and sometimes never take!
“...but, you don’t hesitate to take my money.”
They planned ahead.

To MoKathy...re: your post and question...the response from SLS re the Hot Date delays was...wait for it...”plan ahead.” We are members of another site as well. It starts with a K. Not only is that site a professional looking site, it’s immediate, simple to navigate and user friendly. I think the bottom line here isn’t the issue of ability. It’s the issue of investment of time and money vs whatever profit they make. Its easier and less costly to just ignore the problem. That’s probably why there are so many free members who were once paid members.
As for their response...mine was “...but, you don’t hesitate to take my money.”
Below is the response from tech supoort: Basically we SOL. He is implementing thr most painful solution possible. Time to find another web site for this.
"The site owner is doing what he feels has to be done to comply with laws.
Automated systems don't work. People can easily trick them.

I'm sure there's a better way (I have no idea as to how) but I'm sure there is a better way. If they could separate the events from the dates maybe? O well. From what I have reading in this section of the forums. It seems that it's just gonna be yet another work around for people.
I’m sure this all stems from the BS they’re worried about for our group bulk emails and party listings. Must be reviewed to make sure they conform to their new rules. No mention money anywhere etc. It pretty much killed my ability to put out last minute emails to our group but we’ve found ways to work around it.
At least for what we would want post in the hot date section. This review delay makes it pretty much useless to us. We are always spur of the moment. We use a different website for that feature.
I'm honestly not sure why they would even want to have to review the hot date section.
Since SLS decided to implement its new "rules", the hot dates now require approval. And yes, you guessed it, the SLS staff is out partying and carrying on while the night passed by and your hot date posting never makes it to the calendar.
The obvious issue is the ass backwards way SLS decided to address this, by requiring every posting to be manually reviewed then not hiring enough reviewers. In the age of machine intelligence, they have not figured out how to mimic all these other companies out there, screening text automatically.
Has anyone noticed this issue also? Anyone complained to the admin and has feedback to share?
