I agree. There is so much room for improvement elsewhere with this site to concentrate energy on the photo counter.

<p>I checked into it further. It happens when you delete a picture from your profile that is added to a gallery. So to avoid it, you can remove the picture from any galleries before you delete it.</p>
Why don't they fix it if they know it is a problem
<p>This is a known issue with custom galleries. When you add a picture, the toal count is incremented by one. When you delete a picture from the gallery, I don't think it is reducing the counter by one.</p>
its always been like this... my private pics say 21 and there are 4.... the counters are messed up....
I don't know why but I've frequently noted a descrepency between the number shown and the actual photo count. Maybe they deleted some but the counter shows the number they have uploaded?
Ran across a profile of a couple we've communicated with. They have given us access to their private galleries. One says there's three pictures, but there is only one in the gallery.
