IM has never worked for me on my IPad. Without the mail option I have no way of sending or receiving messages. It looks like I am not the only one based on this thread.

Give the email back and/or get the bugs out of the IM system before trying it again! I lost an unread message yesterday and now my IM doesn't work at all. And make video chat optional.

2 votes from both of us -- bring back the email and streamline it. We use IM selectively after an email introduction at best. And the video should be an option to be turned on and off. As in we don't want people (ie men acting as a couple) to video us. Save that AFF and other creeper sites.
