Given the feedback I think we may reduce the functionality to Spelling, Grammer and critique rather than writing.
It's "grammar" not "Grammer".

Well, I don't know about AI, but that's what my natural ignorance says.
Why don't you eliminate AI altogether and concentrate on getting the new site working correctly? There's too much reliance on AI for everything anymore. It's easy to use a spell and grammar checker on a profile. Using AI to critique a profile is pretty much the same as having AI write it. If someone wants to use AI bad enough all they really need to do is cut and paste into an AI model. At least make them work for it

It's fairly easy to spot AI generated content, and I don't mean here on SLS. AI will improve as time goes on but right now AI is relatively easy to detect

If you're dead set on using AI for profiles have a non-removable line be added that says this profile has been generated by AI
Well said.

@webmaster - Reading profile essays is very insightful to who the individual actually is as a person. Are they well spoken, humorous, educated, or do they have the literacy of a seven year old? Having AI write the profile essays makes both of those insipid at best, and masks the person behind that screen. It is a really, really bad idea on a swinger site with the intent of connecting like minded strangers together.
I tried the AI profile writer, didn't like the results at all. Read like it was computer generated rather than a human being writing their profile. Not sure what the benefit is of having AI write a profile, is it to save time? Does anyone really think that a profile generated by AI will sound better than one that someone writes? Maybe AI can be used to correct poor grammar or sentence structure but should AI be relied on to do that? After a while everyones profile will sound the same. Thank you, but I'll stick with writing & maintaining my own profile, might not be perfect but at least it reflects me and not AI's version of me.

BTW....I have started receiving AI generated contact IM both on this site and on the other sites I'm on. Very obvious they're AI generated IM. The way I look at it if someone can't spend a minute and to write something themself I'm not interested, or the most likely scenario is there isn't even a person on the oither end, it's AI bots sending out contact IM
the AI editor is not supposed to write your profile for you. It is supposed to help you come up with ideas so that you can edit the entire thing.
we certainly do not use bots to contact members pretending to be other members.

Maybe this is just us but having AI everywhere is already annoying enough and the fact that there are a lot of fake and scam profiles around to have a tool implemented that takes away another “check” on if someone is real is a bad idea. So many photos are already “enhanced” with AI so now you put something in place that takes away everything that shows who you are. What people say in their profile is our first line of defense that tells us if we are likely to jive with others.
You make a great point.

On the other hand though, so long as using AI is NOT required, why not just ignore the feature? That is what we will be doing because we prefer to be authors of our own, original content.

As to having the feature available at all... even if it was not there, anyone can simply use AI off site and then paste it in anyway. I'm sure that's already happening.

Just my $0.02 :)
The Swing AI has no restrictions for content unlike most AI engines, allowing for better adult content.

Just my $0.02 :)
I think it would be better to simply not offer this feature as I can guarantee you that most people that newly sign up are not going to go to a 3rd party service to write an AI profile for a sex site. But when it is offered right here I bet more and more people will use it to write a new profile or even rewrite their old profile….
Using the AI takes the personality of the profile away from the people. We are far less excited knowing that AI might have written a profile.

And yes, we know you can enter your SLS profile into a 3rd party AI app and generate an AI version that you can paste into your profile. But that makes it much harder to do.
Couldn't agree more on the whole personality thing.

I do writing on the side and I've noticed that there is a new trend that "authors" are now using AI to write their stories. While I can see where AI might be useful as a tool for things like texts, manuals, and so forth, it boggles my mind how anyone would write a work of fiction, memoirs, biographies or what have you with AI and then present it as their own. I mean it's one thing to use AI powered tools like Gramerly to do spell checks and review suggestions... but quite another to let the tool write your content for you.

Guess I'm old school. To each their own. At any rate, our profile may be far from perfect, but it will always be 100% us lol
