Websites

We have an account on sdc, and have been enjoying SAF. It is a version of FB but built 100% for the lifestyle, Social Network for the sexually adventurous. We love the format and features here, but each of the other sites seem to have something a little different and we like that as well.

Between Facebook, Amazon, Google and all their subsidiaries, you're being tracked whether you like it or not. On the most basic level, your ISP can paint a pretty clear picture of your LS activities just from your IP history alone. The level of sophistication for data collection, collation and utilization is far beyond what one would expect. It's just one of the by-products of living in the digital age.

Catchy,

Thanks, we will have to check it out. Then we only need 1 account.

i got tired of people asking me if I am on KIK......Why is it shutting down??

Google Voice. I don't understand why people don't use it more. It's text, it's phone, you can access the information on multiple devices...what's there not to love?

We got a text from some LS friends a little bit ago, but the reply needed to be more wordy than I'd like to text. I wrote and sent my reply from my desktop and it immediately showed up on my phone. KiK couldn't do that, nor can any of the apps we've checked out to date.

What other app is there that's not tied to a FB account, or gives out your real number?

BTW KIK shuts down tomorrow

:(

We've actually found kik to be a good resource for hookups.

"I have a lot of questions..."

Three cheers for those willing to research exhaustively! ;-)

Before I went to a club, which was my first stab at swinging, I emailed them so many times and with so many questions that when I finally did get there, the guy I'd been emailing with said, "Finally! I didn't think you were ever going to run out of questions."

@888, we just joined and between travel for work (12 Trade Shows a year) and family, I am trying to immerse myself without an opportunity right now to do much more than the forums on here. I am looking forward to my schedule getting a little lighter but in the mean time, I have a lot of questions as it makes me feel active.

We found in Ft Lauderdale, that most have never even heard of SLS. You will need SDC in South Florida.

If you go to Trapeze, you will need neither to find fun ; )

@JT: 1 website to be successful because what it really boils down to is the people on the account by how much effort they put into it by presenting themselves, vetting others and keeping their social network maintained.

I am sure others may chime in with other aspects, but you get the gist.

On a side note: While understanding new people have questions, the type of questions presented lately remind me of someone writing a thesis.

@Ed, I have no idea who is paid or not. I assume if you are able to post on here, you are paid. And as we are new, I was wondering how many different websites people belong to be “successful”.

I asked about the free or trial membership because I have searched on here and have found couples close to me that seem interesting but they are free members and cannot get or send messages so what is the point?

For south Florida, SDC is very strong. They had a really good site until they changed the format, now it’s a bit clunky.

SDC costs a bit more than the average, but that tends to weed out some (not all) of the poseurs.
When we lived in south Florida, some of the SDC meetNgreets would have nearly 200 couples.

We have multiple sites we employ in our activities, 3 active to be exact. A lot of the same people on these other sites.

We’ve found being an unpaid member on other sites unbeneficial due to lack of usability /functionality, unless you’re just looking for bragging rights to say you’re on those sites.

We pay for here and we have a paid membership on SDC. The feel of the sites are very different and I like different things about each.

Why join a site if you are not a paid member? It seems frustrating to be a trial member because you really can’t do much.

We are active on two other sites. We are members on 5 other sites. Some web sites are better for different things, and some are better based on what region of the country we are in.

For example, Swingular is OK for Florida, great for Utah, and is terrible for our current home area of Kentucky.

SLS has the most active and useful forum of any of the other sites that we use.

This may be a taboo subject but how many websites are people a part of? We have seen advantages to different sites. Is it common to belong to more than 1?
