Seems to have quieted down a bit on this monkeypox. Haven't really heard anything about it. Guess nobody cares about the gay guys. (Who is currently dealing with this)

For anyone interested in getting vaccinated in Virginia - Richmond City Health District is now vaccinating heterosexual people as well as gay men. Fill out an interest form and be honest about attending clubs, parties, and anonymous partners. I filled it out about two weeks ago, was contacted via email to get an appointment and received my first dose this week.

As far as COVID goes, the availability of in hone rapid tests have made the reporting of cases go way down. Localities are relying on other methods such a waste water monitoring to track cases.

I'm not really one to defend the media, but there are only so many minutes, and the media are in competition for eyeballs.

That's okay, it's off the radar now and no longer a threat after the Trump raid. And COVID cases/deaths dropped like a stone here in NJ. Amazing, huh?

It's real, it's very contagious but it's basically a gay disease. 95% are gay/bi and the other 5% are lying.

There were 3 covid cases at one time. If it spreads from sexual contact, people with multiple sex partners (typical swingers) would be a likely landing spot for monkeypox.

I know people are a bit spooked with COVID, but c'mon...

It spreads through any close contact with an infected individual. They can breath the stuff onto you, they can touch the arm of a chair, they can shake your hand..... Sex just makes the transmission easier.

It may be starting among gay men, but some of them are bisexual. I am not aware of any barrier to heterosexuals getting it. I wouldn’t rest easy yet. The lesions look disgusting.
