Magically disappear

Thornton, CO, Us

Riots and looting caused $1 1/2 BILLION in Insurance Company losses. Are those losses going to be passed on to your HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE premiums thousands of miles away????? CALL YOUR INSURANCE CARRIER AND FIND OUT. If so cancel and go to a Company that has no losses. West Coast fires too. FUCK those Cities that let looting and west coast states with fires. They should pay for their LOSES.

The question is....

Is Trump a Sheep Herder or a Sheppard?

San Luis Obispo, CA, Us

Yeah... he said eventually we'll have herd mentality.

Freudian slip... perhaps he was thinking of his supporters.

And again, Trump said this whole thing will just disappear, without a vaccine.

WTF-

US President Donald Trump moved to blame his Democratic competitor, former Vice President Joe Biden, for not instituting a national mask mandate during the coronavirus pandemic.

The claim, made at an ABC News town hall Tuesday with undecided voters in Pennsylvania, is misleading for two reasons: Biden has, in fact, urged all state governors to mandate mask-wearing to slow the spread of Covid-19. The Democratic candidate is also not the president and has no authority to mandate anything. Trump does.

Julie Bart asked the president why he hadn’t instituted a national mask mandate during the height of the pandemic and why he had largely refused to wear facial coverings even as the nation’s top medical officials urged the public to do so.

"Well, I do wear them when I have to and when I’m in hospitals and other locations,” Trump said. “But I will say this. They said at the Democrat convention they’re going to do a national mandate. They never did it, because they’ve checked out and they didn’t do it. And a good question is, you ask why Joe Biden ? they said we’re going to do a national mandate on masks.”

It looks like the pressure is starting to hit here.

Mnuchin has stated he wants to work with Nancy.

Trump's team is not dumb. They are looking at the UI numbers.

dol. gov/ui/data.pdf

Something about 800-1mm new claims per week being added. Prior to CV19, the highest UI weekly claim was about 300k iirc. Now, we have not had a week since April that has been below the highest record ever.

This is partially why Pelosi is pushing for fed help to the states.

For those that can't do the math, aka conservatives . . . states build models, just like insurance companies do, to determine how much they should charge employers for the insurance premium. These models sometimes leave the states with a little surplus, sometimes with a little deficit. Most of the time the state is fine using the premiums for the payouts. With claims that are this high for this long, the states are going broke. Here in CA, the state has paid out over 50bn in claims according to the LA Times. There was not 50bn in money just sitting in an account to do that. Most of that money was borrowed from the Feds.

So let's see how you anti-socialists think about this . . .

Choose YOUR state. In Texas, there are over 4.7mm people filed for UI. 28.3 billion was paid out.

click2houston. com/news/investigates/2020/09/04/texas-workforce-commission-cuts-unemployment-benefits-for-some-after-claim-of-overpayment/

If Pelosi gets her way, what happens is that the Feds will cover a LOT of the 50 states UI issues. This means that people in CA will be paying for people in Texas who will be paying for people in Alabama who will be paying for people in Hawaii. Are you OK with this or do you want it to be a survival of the fittest?

Think hard about that.

Almost all of those red states take more from the feds than they send in. CA is already subsidizing a lot of those states. NY is already subsidizing a lot of those states.

How do you like the assholes in Minneapolis????? The idiots on the City Counsel vote to spend $5,000,000 on a three year lease and renovation of an office building to be use as a POLICE STATION. It replaces the one destroyed by rioter and looters. Wouldn't the cost of a a few dozen bullets' be cheaper than $5,000,000. No funeral or medical cost, just dump them in the river. Spend the $5,000,000 on white privilege's. When are we going to learn?????

Lmfao. So 265 million patrons visit Walmart each week but it’s too dangerous to vote in person. You truly are a fucking idiot.

History dot com:

Compromise of 1877: The End of Reconstruction:

The Compromise of 1876 effectively ended the Reconstruction era. Southern Democrats' promises to protect civil and political rights of blacks were not kept, and the end of federal interference in southern affairs led to widespread disenfranchisement of blacks voters.

Pretty good Atlantic article.

I didn't know that Rutherford Hayes lost the popular vote but won the 1876 election on the Electoral Votes. He was re-elected, so it basically changed US politics.

They knew exactly what they were doing in the Compromise of 1877. Basically ending the votes from Black voters in the South for at least 80 years.

The rules for the electoral college are in Article II, Section 1, Clause 3.

The 12th changed the rules somewhat, but the basic structure has been in place since 1789.

Erotica, "The Electoral College’s Racist Origins"
More than two centuries after it was designed to empower southern white voters, the system continues to do just that.
IT IS SO FULL OF SHIT. Nothing racist about the Electoral College. It is there to give EQUAL importance to less populates States.
The real racist thing is how the Democrat's think BLACKS are their property. A BLACK get a fart caught sidewise so it's Racism according to Democrat, Liberal Socialist, Bolsheviks. Democrats use BLACKS like $two dollar hookers.

"Is the voting process different in a nice neighborhood versus a poor neighborhood? "

No, bit before Dems took over on 2016, Reps kept closing polling places in poor neighborhoods, so more voters per site.

Do I need to post stories of the crazy long lines?

Google:
"Official's comments on long voting lines in Phoenix spark uproar"
2.5 hour wait average at some polling places after number of sites reduced to "save money". the official blamed it on the voters, and the voters weren't having it.

Another:
"A five-hour wait to vote in Arizona primary? That's shameful"

Maricopa County shifted to 60 polling places — down from the 200-plus in use during the 2012 presidential primary

So, even if they didn't close the polling place in YOUR middle-class neighborhood, you can bet the evil Republican that was in charge DID close 2/3rds of the polling place on the low income area where my 23 year old son votes.

People can see how far the Republican Party is willing to go to cheat. Their evil is speeding the turn against them. Once again, we see Conservatives love the Constitution, except all of the parts that aren't the second clause of the 2nd Amendemnt... because they hate the rest of that socialist bullshit that isn't the 2nd clause of the 2nd amendment.

EROTIC---->@PHX Compare neighborhoods. Compare your nice neighborhood and then compare the poor section.

Is the voting process different in a nice neighborhood versus a poor neighborhood? Last time I checked (yesterday) the voting hours of 6A to 7P were the same across the great state of Arizona.

In the real world? You mean like at most stores and other businesses? Or at “peaceful protests”? Gee, if you can do all those things with relative safety, you can vote in person.

Santa Barbara, CA, Us

@PHX

Compare neighborhoods.

Compare your nice neighborhood and then compare the poor section.

I bet you see different lines.

At least @2 is being a TRUE conservative. Assigned officials is what the electoral college was about. What he doesn't know is that the electoral college, aka the 12th amendment was put in place because they didn't want 'uneducated negroes' voting.

Yes, our 12th amendment is still a form of racism.

Polling place is on my way home from work. I duck in show my Government Issued id, say hi to my neighbors fill out my ballot and I’m out the door. No muss no fuss.

Why wait in line at all when you can fill out your ballot at home and drop it in the mail?

Phxfunx2Veteran
Chandler, AZ, Us

AZCOUPLE——>And before you even TRY to claim it doesn't take hours to vote, WRONG. Even with 80% of AZ residents voting by mail,. the Republican legislature has cut election funding to the point people that vote in-person have had to wait many, many hours.

LMAO I guess the woe is me stories work best when you are the only poster from a state posting. The LONGEST I’ve ever waited in line to vote was a half an hour. By far the majority of the time it’s minutes to get my ballot.
