@mario. Sar can't help himself. TDS is a serious illness.
Bipartisanship Experiment
Sar..... What was with that first post? Did you not understand the theme of this thread? Clue: key words are opposition and good.
Dems: Net neutrality
Repulicans: corporate internet.
Republicans gave us taxcuts, Patriot act, 2 wars (still ongoing), over a trillion deficit, Healthcare as privilege, oil, clean coal, predatory student loans, votter supression, tariffs, tent cities, gunz and moar gunz and moar Jesus
Dems: clean air, clean water bill, violence against women act (not renewed), equal pay for for equal work, preservation of National parks and wild life (no more drill baby drill), equal rights under the Constitution (no more, LGBTQ ban in the military), Medicare, Medicaid, Social security, Obamacare as expansion of Medicaid, consumer protection that forced Wells Fargo to return what they stole (no more now), finance advisers fidushiery status (no more), clean energy bill (no more)..
In response to the last post.... Kennedy (Dem) got blown by Marilyn Monroe in the White House pool. Lucky bastard! I'm so jealous.
But this and the last post were not exactly good for the country. Lol
Clinton got a blowjob in the oval office. Good for him. Go Bill!!!
Lol, thank you all for playing so far.
Erotic, given that my answer was from 1835, I think you are safe. But your point was valid, the parties have changed a great deal throughout the history of our country.
This needs some qualifications MARIO. The republican and democratic parties are not the same ones as they were in the 1970s.
Want to go back to the 2000s?
I think Bush did the right thing with TARP. Frozen credit markets were not good for the country.
I think the execution didn't extract enough punitive actions.
I like how Obama did get insurance companies to stop the game with the pre-existing conditions.
I don't like how Obama didn't go far enough with healthcare. He could have taken the 60 person majority in the Senate and pushed medicare down to 50 or 55 to start down the path of universal.
I'll be truly bipartisan and give you one for each side of the aisle.
Shirts (Democrats) - They show positive attributes by being the champion of not excluding preexisting conditions in all matters related to heath insurance converge.
Skins (Republicans) - They show positive attributes by keeping the great weight of the Government off the backs of business (small, medium, large) with onerous, duplicative regulations.
And for those following along at home the National Debt at of 10/22/18 at approximately 11:00 AM MST is $21,663,323,700,999
Nixon, a republican resigned. He was insane.
I'll start....
Andrew Jackson (a Democrat) was the only president in U.S. history to pay off the national debt. Bravo sir.
After listening to members of my family argue "politics" last night at my daughter's birthday party, I tried an experiment and I would like to try the same with this group.
Let's see how many of us can say something good that the OPPOSING side did for the country.
