8 inch- why are you bringing religion into this? If you are going to try to use religion though, you didn’t specify which one, I’ll assume you are going with Christianity.
“God” gave us dominion over the animals just like I have dominion over my children and the republicans have dominion over the senate at the moment.
Eating something that mimics meat is nothing like eating the actual product. You understand very little about the vegan diet and the reasonings behind it and it shows so maybe just let it go and enjoy your bacon.
Now, I’m wondering why this has turned into a fight about veganism and why any of you care.
A balanced diet is key in anything. My best friend is a vegan that hates veggies and beans. She lives on processed crap and her health suffers from it.
Just like many people that eat a diet heavy in meat, and dairy.
The fact is you won’t find many people that have been on a balanced plant based diet for a long period of time suffering from heart disease, diabetes, high cholesterol, obesity, etc...
However this topic was supposed to be about proper labeling.
The Just company NEVER misrepresented itself. It never claimed to contain egg. It’s original packaging had a picture of an egg with a plant growing out of it. The ingredients never changed though.
If people believe every picture on a product is true then why the he’ll isn’t a smiling tiger joining me for breakfast and can I sue the company?
I see not one of you actually bothered to address the actual issues I pointed out with other products as misrepresenting themselves. Either it’s a problem across the board OR you are picking at specific products.
Oh and VA, there are already “veggie burgers” on the market that contain meat or dairy. I don’t get my panties in a bunch over it because I read labels. In fact I even have an ap on my phone to scan items for when I forget my reading glasses.
Feel free to put duck fat in a jar and call it mayo. It probably already exists. Once again, it won’t be a problem for me.
As long as you don’t misrepresent it as “vegan” like the Coffee Mate company does with its “dairy free” creamer.
Now, if you want to have a vegan discussion I’m happy to but not in this thread. I never meant it to turn that route but it’s the track most people take with me— instead of keeping to the issue at hand.
Like I always say, eat what what you want. Just understand what you’ re eating.
And read labels.
