2024 Election

Montpelier, OH, Us

So my question is, will you be satisfied if trump just stays the course and keeps inflation near 2% or does he need to do better than that?

In my opinion he needs to do better. ORRRR..... At least have a good reason why not. Tariffs etc. That is something I'm hoping this admin can deliver on.

Additionally I really hope this Musk, Ramsery position isn't just all hype and bullshit. Forget the names. Just the position has promising results for us if it's actually done like I am hoping. That could in theory, free up additional money for startups that may produce themselves because of the tariffs.

I have a lot of hopes for this admin. We'll see....

Another 100% FACT

Actress Eva Longoria, who voted for Kamala Harris, has reportedly left the U.S. with her family, seeking a brighter future in Mexico and Spain.

She cited the recent presidential election as her reason, expressing concerns that if Trump keeps his promises, America could become a frightening place.

For all of you that are questioning Wayne's stance on policing this shitstorm. I think he said it best.

And when it comes to the Politics area, there is literally no reason that any of you come in here other than because you want to fight and argue and create drama. So if anyone is getting upset over what they read in the Politics area, then don't click on "Politics".

I TOTALLY agree on that. Politics is the wild west of the forums. Unless you are threatening someone personally to do harm, or berating someone's spouse. You're pretty much on your own in my opinion.

But again he is correct and I doubt anyone can honestly disagree. Nobody comes in here hoping to find an echo chamber. Hell if anyone wants that, just go hang out with your friends.

Here is another one Wayne. Not to pick on Mick. But it’s a perfect example. When he is absolute spewing shit about child sex trafficking and child porn. That isn’t offensive? That is the worst of the worst. And because he has not said it about anyone personally? He shouldn’t be held accountable? Upside down world.

“People can be offended all they want. It's not a violation of site policy to be offended. ”

But isn’t it site policy to not be offensive?

It doesn’t have to be personal. I find it offensive if someone uses the term porch monkey. I’m not an African American. I don’t take that personally. But it is offensive. No? Or is it site policy that that is not offensives.

I’m not trying to give you a hard time Wayne. I’m just pointing out some of the problems with the site moderation.

Again if I’m not personally offended if someone calls me an asshole. But in turn I call the same person an asshole and they’re offended? I get put in time out? Don’t seem right.

Your you said that wrong.

Covid was a hoax got it

Covid was a decades planned Hoax and that is 100% FACT.

New Orleans, LA, Us

Reading the postmortem on the election, it's pretty clear that the number one issue that most people voted on was the economy, specifically inflation.

So I have a question for those of you who voted for the guy who said he would "fix" inflation. How will you quantify if it's fixed or not?

Current inflation through October is 2.6%. But most of you are complaining about the residual effect of the post-pandemic spikes in 2021 (4.7%) and 2022 (8%) meaning prices on some items are 15-20% higher than they were in 2020.

So my question is, will you be satisfied if trump just stays the course and keeps inflation near 2% or does he need to do better than that?

Or does he need to roll back pricing to pre-pandemic levels to "fix" what he blames Biden for?

I'm just trying to get an idea of what your realistic expectations are.

Blocking and complaining to the Moderator. Good grief, how do you drama queens make it through a day mixing with the general population?

And in the basement of a sex site no less! Where is the face palm emoji when you need it.

“Former Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., is withdrawing his candidacy to be President-elect Trump's attorney general, after sex trafficking and drug use allegations threatened to imperil his confirmation.

After meeting with Republican senators to discuss his nomination, Gaetz, a conservative firebrand from Florida and a loyal Trump defender, wrote on social media Thursday that "it is clear that my confirmation was unfairly becoming a distraction to the critical work of the Trump/Vance Transition." (NPR)

Yeah, how “unfair” of people for wanting to hold a drug addicted pedophile accountable.

The only positive thing Gaetz has done in politics is when he left Congress, the trash took himself out before the Ethics Committee could release its report and have him removed.

I'm insulted by that remark. Ima just walk away for awhile before I hit the "Report to Moderator" button.

The moderation around here changes on a whim.

It hardly exists now compared with the past.

“ Based on the feedback I received over the years, I will only take action for insulting behavior if the person being insulted files the complaint. For insults/rudeness, I do not listen to 3rd party complaints.”

There in lies the problem. You will only act if you’re asked to. The thickness of people’s skin varies. I myself have been put in timeout for being rude. And it is usually in the form of a retort to someone being rude also. When that is pointed out. Your response is, “well I don’t know what you’re referring to. You didn’t complain.”

There are plenty of folks here who love to dish it out. But can’t take it.

And yes. I have complained to you since those infractions. But it’s just playing by the rules you have established. Which to me seem foolish.

I am not contending you read each post and decide when a line has been crossed. But a simple complaint should be looked into more in depth.

And why can’t a 3rd party be offended? There are plenty of posters on the past who post such vile trash. And it is allowed.

I think that "moderation" refers to management occasionally placing participants in Forum Jail or Time-Out. Most often occurred when 1 participant complained to management about something.

Hardly exists? Yeah, I don't recall anyone being placed in Time-Out for years. I know that some people were permanently banished from the Forum but one of those was apparently granted parole some time ago. That person doesn't participate in Politics though.

"I’m sure these are the guys who lurk at playgrounds watching prepubescent catholic girls..."

There's a blast from the past. I'd forgotten, but old guys (so, older than 30) in trenchcoats or parked a block from school were a regular feature of the afterschool walk home. There were at least four of them, which is kind of a lot for a small Catholic school in a working class neighborhood in San Francisco (there were a bunch of much larger schools not far away). They were referred to as winkie wavers and, if not in a car, mostly ignored. The car guys were given a wide berth.

"Says latent homosexuality and self loathing are common among men who fixate on transgendered people."

It's axiomatic that the people shouting the loudest about those depraved homosexshuals are going to be found with a dick in their mouth or a teenage boy in their hotel room. I imagine it's similar with transwomen, where I've read that the most dangerous time for them with a new partner is after sex.
