WW - Switching your profile to a different location requires an Admin to approve the change before it happens. It is no longer instant, but you can still do it.
Not sure if this is different than changing your Hot Date lication. Usually I change my profile location then post the Hot Date.
I agree with Bestinclass61, IM's are annoying and make me feel less safe because I cant Block on IM, again I became a paying member just so I COULD email!!! Now I cant change my location on the "Hot Date" Calendar which I do on occasion because I travel. Perhaps just perhaps SLS has been hacked and the "Hacker" is making these stupid changes in order to force the hands of member to abandon this site!!!! That makes more sense then SLS cutting off their nose to spite their face. SMFH

It is possible that SLS is in deep financial trouble, when they find it difficult to maintain and keep up with a simple email system. My guess is SLS could just shut down and fold up with no explanation or warning , . This would leave my leaving members holding the bag, unable to get any type of refund and monthly paid members losing part of their paid subscription. I'd prepare for all of this if I were you. Since I started using the website again recently, I have been unable to contact anyone. It is possible that they don't have the horse power anymore (manpower or talent) to keep track of what you say in the Forums.

I also dislike the fact that I can be seen when on line, which equals to endless IMs full of crap from men who use the "who's online' search option and aren't even bothering to read my profile. Previously you could only see that someone had been online that day. Right now as I type this, I have received eight IM's, three video requests, with the same theme..."I bet that pussy wants a good orgasm!", "May I suck your fingers and toes?", "Would you like to watch a BBC with a 12" dick jerk off?", "SUB SEXY, INTO BBC, MANDINGO PARTIES?" and those are the entertaining ones. It's a waste of my damn time.
IM has permitted the assholes of SLS to do what they do best....be assholes. SLS could at least have had the decency to provide us with a block option within IM. I don't want to have to look at the moron who messaged me, so I can block him. I don't want to give him that satisfaction. I never experienced this type of bombardment with email. Plus, I could hover over the profile image in email to see the person and stats. It appears that cannot be done in IM.
Oh, and Wayne, your head is so shoved so far up and stuck permanently if you seriously believe there isn't such a thing as pic collectors. Are you kidding me? I get requests all the time from men wanting access to my private photos, so they can jerk off (their words, not mine).
I do know this, in my area a great many of my friends and acquaintances, both couples and singles, are joining or updating idle profiles on other LS sites. As a lifetime member and a member of several groups on SLS, I 'm here to stay, but I too am updating my profile on those same sites. Eventually, SLS will no longer be the default LS website to the masses.

The option to email someone is gone, both on the regular site and the app.
The only way to make contact is via IM on the app, as it is on the desktop site. In fact, the only functions active on the app as of now are "Who viewed me", "Newest Matches", "Near Matches", "Who is On", "Search", "Favorites (formerly Friends) and "Messages" which is the IM function.
No Forums, no Hot Date, no Clubs, no Groups, no Sex Stories.

I don't believe the app gives you any more capabilities than a browser. In other words, you're still not getting email with the app.
If you did, it might be more incentive to downliad the app as there are still likely people that have no idea email went away.

Sometime ago I raised my anger and dislike for the path of SLS for having a 'free member' program which prevented me from contacting those free members who's profile stated exactly what we were looking for. I was ignored by SLS but was jumped on by paid members for making my dislikes known. Good luck on where you are going but don't expect much help from anywhere; especially from SLS. They got your money so on this sex site, you've been fucked! Was it good for you?

I haven’t received a reply to any message I’ve sent out, since the change over. Which granted they are normally far and few between, but I typically get something back. Looking at other sites now, in preparation for leaving this one. Most just look fake as hell through.

Yeah, the influx of cash from people looking for an alternative could definitely be helpful to the competition, who only have to not epically fuck up in order to look great. The bar is really low, so that shouldn't be too tough.
