It's subtitled. First episode was mostly political intrigue in the palace between rival houses, but I suspect that the horror stuff is going to ramp up in later episodes.

Interesting premise written well, good performances, and beautiful cinematography. If you can handle horror and subtitles, it looks like a keeper.

Kingdom is listed as a Horror series, which the Mrs is not of fan of. However, we are watching and she does like the Van Helsing series, so maybe I can slide Kingdom by as a "Thriller" if it's good, so long as it's not subtiitles.

Just started watching the first season of Kingdom. Political intrigue and zombies in 16th century Korea. Watched the first episode tonight and holy crap, this series is gonna rock.

What is the sexist TV series out right now?

We really enjoyed Ozark on Netflix. We really enjoyed The Last Kingdom, Vikings: Valhalla and Frontier on Netflix as well.

3 weeks until Better Call Saul finally enters its last season.

We decided to watch it again for the beginning, since it has been 7 years since it began. We are quite shocked as to how little we remembered, and are enjoying it all over again.

We have been watching The Almighty Johnsons on Peacock. It took about 3 or so episodes before it latched on, but we are now into season 3 and enjoying it. It's a story about interactions with and the potential rise of Norse Gods, that don't really come into power until their 21st birthday. It's a comedy with a good smattering of sex sprinkled in.

With the heavy accents, you may want to consider closed captioning. I know that I at least have trouble picking up on things said, but that may just be me.

"Sex Education" on Netflix.

Consistently funny, with an occasional side splitting line. Only a tad creepy how attracted I am to the female lead. But clearly she's twenty something in real life, not the sixteen she's supposed to be.

I think Bel-Air is cool. It's edgy, definitely a drama. No silly, funny episodes on the horizon. Interesting twist on the original. Someone made a "what if" twist on the characters on YouTube that caught to the eye of Will Smith.

We started watching Bel-Air. It was OK. I was kind of "meh" on the superbowl half-time show and was kind of the same on this, till about the 3rd episode. Definitely way darker than the original.

The Carlton of this show is an outright narcissistic asshole, moreso than the original. The rest of the family kind of made up for it though.

Watch the show. I can assure you the subject matter covered in the series so far is going to be ‘offensive’ to many who identify on the right. Yes it’s a gritty tale based on a YouTube video that someone made and caught Will Smith’s attention. It’s meant to provoke thoughts and questions. I don’t understand why there can never be honest open discussions when it comes to race. We will never be able to move forward if people are not willing to be honest about their feelings. And once again, if you’re a ‘Karen’ or a ‘Kyle’ you will take offense to it.

"As a matter of fact if you identify as far right you WILL NOT enjoy it."

My god, you treat the right as those on the right treat the left. Not all on either extreme are sheep. Both left and right tend to fluctuate along the spectrum based on the issues. By your analogy people on the left don't go to church anymore than people on the right are not in the lifestyle. We both know both not to be true!

wow. so people on the right are incapable of being entertained by a TELEVISION SHOW that might have left viewpoints. lumping everyone in...nice.

Bel-Air on Peacock… a reboot of the Fresh Prince of BelAir. No funny dances to Tom Jones here (well at least 4 episodes in) and if you didn’t enjoy the Super Bowl Half Time Show, you may not like it. As a matter of fact if you identify as far right you WILL NOT enjoy it. The show is dark, fresh and modern in many ways and it does give you nuggets from the original. The characters are amazing and how they reimagined them has many questioning the show as not being authentic. Only 4 episodes have been released at this point (the show drops on Thursdays) but I was hooked from episode 1. Highly recommend this series.

Mrs VA is watching the preposterous series "How to get away with murder".

Everything else aside - Jimmy Smits is impressing the hell out of me.

Vox Machina on Prime. Adult cartoon based on a dysfunctional group of sword/sorcery mercenaries. Reminds both of us of a D&D game, albeit one with blurred alignments and classes. If you've ever played WoW, DAoC, Everquest, Runescape, Neverwinter Nights, etc you'll probably enjoy it as much as we do.

@currentrider

Thanks. We haven't finished that episode yet. But, yes that one is pretty sad.

@64,

I watched several of the "Bad Sport" episodes and found them pretty sad and depressing. The one about the horses I could happily have gone my whole life without knowing about.

Welcome to the forums BTW

We're enjoying the Irregulars on Netflix. It's Watson/Holmes with a supernatural twist where the focus is actually on some street kids. It takes about 2-3 episodes for the characters to develop well, but it's interesting enough that it made us want to keep watching. Currently there is only the 1 season, but it's 10 episodes with each being nearly an hour long. We're on Episode 8 as I recall.

Bad Sport on Netflix is an interesting series of unusual sports documentaries. They aren't so much about sports as the odd people involved in them.
