For all of the celebrities who died in 2016, I don't think anyone heard that Dr. Donald Henderson died in August at the age of 87.
Who was Donald Henderson? He led the smallpox eradication project, which has saved the lives of tens of millions of people.
People like this are the real heroes. It's a shame that almost nobody knows who they are, the media doesn't plaster them on the front page when they pass away.
