Mayhem, shortly after I made it across the 24 mile span, they closed the northbound side due to an accident, and the southbound route, aka, my way home, remained closed through the early evening.
What you described reminded me of my MA driver’s Ed class back in the early 80’s. They were still showing those 60’s era, B&W, narrated crash films to try and scare us. For some, it took, but for few of my classmates, sadly, it didn’t.

BT - Long ago there was a gory crash that happened on Rt 93N about 50 yds or so in front of the bus I was on for my ride home from work. The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was launched from his car and landed in the middle of the opposite side of the highway during rush hour traffic.
The bus driver announced before we got alongside the accident that this was a serious crash and suggested looking away if they didn't want to see a potentially gory scene. Of course, everyone looked and afterwards I heard people saying, "I wished I hadn't seen that." It's like moths to a flame.
Earlier this week, I was driving across the causeway bridge to attend a meeting. Within the first few miles, the fog was so thick that visibility was down to about 50 feet. I slowed down, pulled into the right lane and with white knuckles, followed the car in front of me. At a certain point, I looked to my left, at the inbound span and noticed that there were no cars to be seen. A mile or so later, I looked again and saw what looked like a 40 car pile up. Ambulances and clean up crews were already on the scene.
I did my best to focus on my lane and maintain my slower speed, but the cars in front of me slowed to a crawl. I guess, to take it all in.
FF: people will always slow down to view a car crash…or a train wreck, as the case may be. Why? I dunno.

"But, I do add, it eliminates more of the negatives and one step closer to yeses!"
Can we start calling you Charlie Brown? Or Charlie from "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"?
In order to have intercourse, the woman (or man) must feel the attraction and urge to take her (or his) clothes off.
Constantly stepping on your own dick is nowhere in the process of entering a woman's mouth or pussy. Couldn't tell you if it works on guys. No experiences in that area.
For the umpteenth time on this matter, a click is just a click. I've scrolled with my touch screen and accidentally clicked on photos and went to pages. It happens.
Ever thought that someone read forum posts. Scratched their heads and wanted to SEE who said something so outrageous or outlandish. And it was you.... multiple times.....
Life is full of mysteries.
Touché!
But, I do add, it eliminates more of the negatives and one step closer to yeses!
Puzzling even more is that you haven't learned that asking them why they keep viewing consistently results in you being blocked.
I do not have a problem with the Who Viewed Me option; never did. What is puzzling though is, the over and over, repeated profile views by a profile, when said profile's content has said/says they have no interest is single men. If there is no written interest in single men, or it is explicitly written that they have no written interest in single men (I have visited said profile once and made a note on my end on their profile of their stated no interest in single men and I do not revisit their profile,) why do these people keep viewing my profile? Puzzling too is, when finally asking them of why they choose to view my profile so much and also politely inviting them to chat since they choose to view my profile so much, I get blocked.
I do not pass the buck, nor deflect any guilt. I am not perfect, nor a saint. But, if someone does not use common sense, guilt lands in their lap.
Control is an illusion.
You must be comfortable with uncertainty.
"It's possible to deactivate the WVM feature."
we have ours deactivated. we don't care who viewed our profile. if they are interested they will contact us. and we can look at other profiles and it doesn't show up on their WVM ;)
"Those that are obsessed with viewing your profile, will block you, after you eventually and politely ask them why they view your profile so much when you are not really what they are looking for... "
they probably saw you post something in the forums. maybe they forgot that they looked at your profile before. if it bothers you so much turn deactivate the who viewed me.
"Getting people to look at our profile is kinda why we made it in the first place."
"I don't understand why this is such a problem."
yes!
Getting people to look at our profile is kinda why we made it in the first place.
I don't understand why this is such a problem.
Melvin - I'm not sure "chaos' is the word for it. The problem is curiousity. You want an answer to something you can't have an answer to.
There was an old joke line where someone says, "You know how to keep an idiot in suspense?", then walks away after the person says, "How?'. Not saying you're an idiot, just that this situation reminds me of that joke.
Something to consider before you complain about this again. It makes you easy pickings for a troll that reads the forums. All they need do is look at your profile now and then to get a rise out of you, and not in a good way ;-).
It is my nature and desire for balance. I despise chaos. It is mind-boggling why people choose to have or live with chaos and think it is ok to project it onto others.
FF1: It's possible to deactivate the WVM feature.
FF2: What you don't know won't bother you.
Trust me on this.
Trust, but verify.
Pretty sure it's more than 3. I don't get the obsession.
You have brought this up at least 3 times in the last year.
You can't control the behavior of others...
Fun fact:
Those that are obsessed with viewing your profile, will block you, after you eventually and politely ask them why they view your profile so much when you are not really what they are looking for... Ask me how I know this! It seems really redundant for someone to continuously view your profile when you are not what they seek.
I've had Guinness in Scotland, and the taste AND the texture are different there than in the states. I've heard speculation that it was the lack of preservatives there vs here.
I could probably eat blood pudding and would definitely drink Guinness but haggis (I know, traditionally a Scottish thing) would be a hard: Oh, HELL NO.
My friend acquired a taste for haggis when doing business in Ireland and Scotland. He tried to take some home. Once. Apparently it's considered unfit for human consumption and was confiscated when he arrived back in the US.
I have been to Ireland 5 times and lived there for a while as a young boy. Guiness and a slice of brown bread is a meal. As far as Blood Pudding it is an acquired taste. I always liked it
We did the Guiness brewery tour.
They have the 9,000 year lease embedded in the floor at the entrance.
We were supposed to do a 6 week bike trip there in May-June of 2025.
But some shit has happened, and it won't be happening any time soon.
