My opinion is that appearance gets younger with personality. If your personality is a young personality that is still enthusiastic about life, then you'll smile more and generate a more youthful appearance. Within reason of course. People like this tend to gravitate towards younger groups. I don't think it has to do with being repulsed to people their own age, but more so the behavior of people their own age. In my 50s I tend to hang with 30 and 40 year olds because I attack life with the energy of that age and not look down the barrel of mortality like most of my age.

A lot of confusion would be solved if this site automatically updated age upon one’s birthday. Another site does it. This site now time stamps photos. Can it separate B.C. and A.D.?

Seriously, we meet people who say they are our age and either they are substantially older or they aged poorly. It is important for attraction and generally gauging their sexual abilities ( knowing that there are exceptions).

Because we don't like people who misrepresent themselves (i.e. "liars") in order to catch interest they otherwise might not get.

IMHO, the honesty of the individual/couple is the issue. Are the photos current ? Are you attract? If so, what does it matter. Not long ago I was contacted by a couple whose advertised age was 81 and 84. We met. The woman is 81 and has the slim body of a thirty year old. The husband looked his age. We had chemistry. Current photos are the key in my mind.

Yeah it does. We shouldn't have entered our actual birthdays - not sure if we can change them. Not that it probably matters anymore after this much time.

The other site we are on has you enter your actual birthday and it updates age automatically. The wife and I are actually just over a year apart, so I picked a random date between the two (not our actual birthdays for discretion) and our ages both show as the same. At any particular time, one of may be technically a year older or a younger than the our listed age, but it is correct and "honest" within a few months. Whenever I see our age updated there, it is my reminder to update it here as well.

The fact that this site doesn't update your age automatically is inexcusable. It would be so easy.

I mean - if you set your age when you set up your account- it could call that day your birthday and update every anniversary of your account. Whether you are 45 and 300 days or 46 and 10 days - whatever. Your exact age doesnt matter. What it would prevent is a single female who WVM'd us who had a 13 year old account but claimed she was 27, probably just due to not updating it.

If nothing else, this is at least a yellow flag to say that the couple is likely developing age amnesia.

Some people do well for their age. Some do not. We've played with people 10+ years older and 20+ years younger. But we've never appreciated people who lie just to get to meet us.

Maybe 5 years ago we met a couple through a hot date who were going to be at the same place. Us then - late 40s. Them - (advertised as) late 50s. OK. They seem cool.

They were at least 70. They looked like their pictures' parents. I think she had Parkinsons and he looked like Richard Nixon. And not even "4 more years" Nixon. More like "visiting president Clinton in the early 90s" Nixon.

Age Amnesia is a good one. I believe a lot has to do with the people being realistic about themselves and how well they take care of themselves. Many we have been contacted by are many years younger than us and are attracted regardless of our age. Others chose not to be interested because of our age without even giving a meeting a chance. We have met some that say they are younger than they are and those are usually the ones we so sorry to. Age is just a number. If you look old and act old, then you get what you get. The OP must be doing pretty good as they have a big number of CERTS. So that being said keep doing what you're doing as long as you can and don't sweat the age difference.

I would like to introduce a lifestyle phenomena that I call age amnesia. We are 67 years old. Like everyone on this site, we think we look younger than our age. We are asked out by a couple who say they are 67 on SLS, but in reality they are 77. We think they look really old, like our aunt and uncle. We have no sexual attraction to them. They think they have a chance.

Let’s flip the script. We meet a couple who are in their mid-50s. I think we have a chance. My wife doubts it. They probably think we look like their aunt and uncle.

Older people do not realistically evaluate how old they look. The younger couple gets it immediately. I call this phenomena “age amnesia.”
