mayhem8, you're probably thinking of Cialis for daily use which is a low dose daily prescription. Both ED medications are meant to take an hour before sex, Cialis can be taken with food while Viagra shouldn't or the effect may be delayed or lessened. Cialis stays in your system for 24-36hrs and Viagra for 4-5hrs. I like the Cialis so I can be ready the next day after a dose and it seems to be a better value too. There is plenty of articles online and the doctors are very helpful too.

I have not yet tried Cialis. My impression was this was something you had to take daily to see an effect, vs Viagra that you take about an hour before sex. Perhaps that's incorrect and it's worth a try. With an enlarged prostate I could easily get a prescription for Cialis, but never looked to see what the side-effects are.

I (Mr.OHC) is the same age as Mr. 6zcouple and I think age can be a factor, stress with kids too. Don't be afraid to try a ED pill, they're cheap using generic and easy to get a prescription with telehealth, I used GoodRx. I used to use Bluechew but stopped as they're way more expensive than generic ED medication. I tried generic Viagra but now prefer generic Cialis since it lasts longer, paid $18 for a 10mg 30 day supply at my local Costco pharmacy.

For some humble bragging I took a Cialis two nights ago and came in Mrs. OHC four times in the course of one hour that night, I just couldn't stop!! She enjoyed it very much too of course ;)

@BigStorm - One of the problems that women have with a guy watching porn during sex is they think that the guy is visualizing having sex with the girl in the porn while playing with them. That could well be the case for some guys.

More of a fitness topic, but they are both related I suppose. With Covid, it can be difficult to get out there to walk. Aside from the temps, we get snow and have no sidewalks where we live. Doesn't help if you go for a walk to get healthy and then get hit by a car.

In non-Covid times we do have a mall close by so can go someplace to walk indoors, but that option right now carries it's own health risks, as does gym time.

We have always cooked our own meals from scratch and eat pretty healthy. Perhaps some amount is genetics, but at 62, I have no ED issues. I do have a guilty pleasure though, which is popcorn. Rather than use all butter, I use mostly olive oil, a little butter for flavor, and a dab of coconut oil and I'll ususally have it with grated cheese and powdered ranch dressing sprinkled on. Soooo good, if you like popcorn and salty snacks.

I'm new here, I have experienced the ed being the guy at 52. I have done a done of research, 95% of it is diet to ed 10% is mental.

  1. Stop eating anything processed period, that shit has much salt and blocks your blood flow.
  2. Stop eating sugar, it so bad for your blood flow, did you know your penis has to have 5times more blood than your heart to have a good erection, that why you get shortness in breath guys.

I know most older guys are on some kind of blood thinner meds as well for women.
Speaking from experience I was on high blood pressure medicine and my wife was on satins. It took her a bit to get wet and stay wet from satin and the same for me with getting hard. Change your diet folks, we both are medicine-free with our docs consent of course. I'm back to jerking off at least once a day, my wife is way wetting and feels sexier. So it works and of course, get some exercise even if it's just walking a mile a day is huge. So there is hope

I was pretty much drinking mostly tea every day. Used to be that caffeniated drinks didn't count towards hydration, but that has since been changed, or so I've read. Still, I try to drink a 16 - 20 oz cup of water either with or between cups of tea. Yeah, I pee a lot ;-)

I drink tea from a Contigo travel cup, which is 20 oz. I drink between 2 - 4 of these a day, but switch to decaf after lunch. Where I'm bad is when I'm working on a home project. I've been known to go till 2-3 pm without eating or drinking.

My go to cocktail is usually spiced rum and Diet Coke. Also read that soda was once thought to not be hydrating, but that has changed too. Other than occasional seltzer or club soda, that's prettty much the only soda I drink, but we usually drink when play/party and, pre-covid, sometimes that was 2 -3 times per weekend.

A long time ago I found a cheap source for generic Viagra ($0.88/pill and I only take half). For now, the mental aspects of the LS have had more impact on getting a boner than age. I have seen 20 somethings that can't perform, and you know that's likely to be big head issues affecting the little head ;-)

BtB - congrats! You are so right, drinking enough water is one of the easiest ways a guy can improve their sexual health - well, overall health for that matter. People actually need more water as they age, and studies indicate the majority of Americans are chronically dehydrated. For guys, dehydration causes a host of issues related to ED, most problematic being lower blood volume and increased angiotensin - both contribute to ED. Hydration also helps you shoot a bigger load. I got a quality scale that measures my water % and try to drink enough water to stay over 55% and have pretty clear pee.

LOL!.....Join the club! Getting older is a Mother #$@%!%! I reach the age 50 and started to lose my strong hard cock reliability. So I started exercising, loosing weight and changing my diet. Make sure you drink plenty of water everyday. I got my pressure and sugar levels down. That seem to help and made my strong hard cock more reliable. It's never going to be the same as it was when I was in my 20s and 30s. But now I can play at parties with more confidence. Also, check with your doctor and get some basic blood work done.

There seems to be quite a range for "acceptable T levels. If I was in the low end of the range I may be concerned, and certainly if I was below the low end of a range. When trying to resolve a problem, many times you do tests to see what the problem "isn't". I think this may be one of those tests.

As an example, I have noticed that I'm gaining a little weight, say 10-15 lbs over 3-4 months. My eating habits haven't really changed and I bumped up my activity level when I saw this trend, and was not able to drop the weight. As a next step, I had a T-level test done. Still waiting on results.

As for porn and erections, I've had the opposite happen for me in terms of getting hard. Was at a friend's recently with porn on in the background and it wasn't really doing much for me. That said, seeing the Mrs starting to play with that friend had me rock hard in no time. Not sure if I've just seen too much porn or what, but the fact that seeing the Mrs play with others can get me hard in no time kind of tells me any erection issues are more in my head than age related, at least at this point in the game.

The porn that once used to excite me the most (double/triple insertions) just doesn't do it for me as much. I'd rather see a non-pro pushing her limits than a pro getting all her holes filled at once.

R&K - completely agree, just exercise isn't always the full answer for some guys. Any guy having "aging" issues should get a full endocrine panel at their regular exam. If they have deficiencies, then go to either an endocrinologist or urologist with strong experience in endocrinology. T injections are just part of the answer. The T must be converted to other hormones by the body to support many functions a guy needs. If that conversion process is not working right, the extra T is not well utilized. It's a pretty complex puzzle - why I suggest going to a very knowledgeable doc.

So interesting. I am very into increasing my testosterone naturally as well. I lift and am active but I have been slacking on cardio. Maybe that will help? I'm going to try that for a few months before really starting to dip my toe into the try.

Lots of things happen as guys age. T and cardio capacity goes down, which can both affect erections adversely - but both can be boosted with the right exercise. I prefer exercise over drugs, plus I look better and can do the same activities I could 20+ years ago. Long term use of porn in a high ratio to partner sex can cause you to become conditioned to what makes you hard, how long you're hard and when you ejaculate. I'm all for porn in the right doses, but over doing it can change you sexually. For me, just staying in good shape helps with most of the issues.

Ugh, I'm reluctant to take T because I hear that it's a permanent dependency. Once you start you can't stop because the body will stop producing it naturally. Grr
