flalovemonkeys...yes, my mistake. Bradycardia is a slower heart beat. In college in the late 70's my heart beat was 48 so it has not changed in 40 years. My blood pressure hangs in the 113/60 range. Good physical shape and running helps so I will keep this up as long as possible. Sorry, not to derail the initial intent of this thread...now, back to your regular scheduled program.
Any ideas?
flalovemonkeys, yes, high cholesterol is a major cause of weak weiner as we age. This is why 95% of my diet is whole plant foods .... only 5% of my calories comes from meat and cheese.
@slenderguy-not important but bradycardia is low heart rate - as you kind of refer to - not low blood pressure. I don't know if they are associated but they definitely don't always go together. I too have a hr around 50 but normal - often just barely high, around 125-130 - blood pressure.
to my understanding, the most common cause of weak wiener as one ages is that the little capillaries and arteries that serve your johnson narrow and constrict as you age.
I have never been on high blood pressure meds and I typically have low blood pressure. I have bradycardia so there is a name for low blood pressure. My pulse hangs around 50. I am aware that some allergy meds will counter act against erections. Once those allergy pills are gone the erections are back quickly. That said, I exercise daily and run roughly four miles every other morning at 5am. Workout with the weights the other days. I do eat right and my energy level is great. Sex drive is as good or better than it has ever been.
Exactly 64golf.. exactly!
Most cholesterol medication lowers your testosterone. You can have blood drawn to test your hormone levels. Testosterone supplements can help. I worked with doctor (not one that buys into typical, mainstream medical answers) to get my cholesterol right so I could get off the medication.
I recently switched to a carnivore diet about 6 weeks ago. My sex hormones are now in an ideal range. And, my libido and erections are back to what they were when I was in my 20s.
I would read a lot of information, talk to several doctors, and don't accept pat answers from them.
Your insurance play may actually cover leaches. They are sometimes used to treat burns and finger reattachment. They help keep the blood flowing across the wound.
The old ways. Lol
First, start drinking more water, cuz you may be dehydrated.
Secondly, you might want to have your prostate checked.
Somewhere between that first and second, do things to lower your stress.
Erections and ejeculation issues can be a mental thing.
While you're drinking that water, google "why does nothing come out when I ejaculate".
“ CVS said my insurance plan doesn't cover leeches”
You might want to check again. Leeches have been approved by the FDA since 2004 (according to my extensive internet search).
Read the book "How NotTo Die". It just give information based on scientific medical studies.
It is the best source for answers that are scientific proven methods to reduce high blood pressure and cholesterol.
Have a blood test and check your test and estrogen Definitely sounds like itsba hormone imbalance
CVS said my insurance plan doesn't cover leeches.
Y'know, I can't imagine why anyone would balk at my advice to apply leeches, or wrap it with an Ace bandage and walk it off....
Strongly agree with Toomuchfun. Talk to your doctor!
Try adding beet powder or chews get them at Walmart ref Nitoius Oxide to blood flow.. we take a variety of those chews for everything, sex , sports and daily workouts. They have an entire selection .
Also check your testosterone levels ...I have been on shots weekly for over 10 years ..beginning 109 levels now 600-1000 levels .. works wonders.. do not get on "Chlomed" it was terrible and caused serious side issues that some DRs want to use to spur your own T level counts! Once you go on shots or something else its for life.. I go in every six months for PSA checks with blood workups..If you cant find a competent DR to handle your problem.. find one we changed 3 times until we found one who would say something other than its our age.. we also now incorporate YOGA weekly into our heavy workouts..BS !
Best idea... don't take medical advice from strangers on the internet.
Some people have ED as a side effect from BP and cholesterol meds but there could be other reasons. Talk to your doctor.
That's what's crazy when I was over weight and unhealthy it was fine.
Not I have all my blood results where there supposed to be and no hard on
Agree great advice nothing to play with BP issues are a stroke waiting to happen!
Drink plenty of water daily and keep hydrated also important
Now tell him the problem there are ones who will lessen the RX on obtaining an erection and blood flow.. also if taking statins look at Red Rice Yeast!
For one of us... a strong heavy free weight with cardio..workout with a trainer has lowered blood pressure immensely with eating and sleeping right going away from salt too . Keep a daily log shows where you are at.
Go see your doctor.
I've heard that blood pressure medication can keep a guy from getting hard.
2 months ago the doctor put me on cholesterol and blood pressure meds. In the last 2 months I have started eating healthy and lost 20 pounds. I'm not extremely overweight but in the last 2 months if I can get hard it doesn't last long then goes rite back down.
Also once I was cuming but nothing was coming out.
Any ideas? Could it be the blood pressure meds?
