Cleanliness is next to godliness.

I don't think he was going to be looking at the pots or pans (especially with her hot body!) while he was there and they were probably put away clean, but if that is what you do with nervous energy there are many worse choices in life and no one is going to be upset with an overly clean kitchen.

I cleaned every week as stated....reguardless of visitors......its called self pride in where you live......I still live like that,, and to no surprise, I married a clean freak ....we keep the place lived in, but clean & neat.......it dosen,t take much effort..just ambition.

It’s only normal if it was a planned normal event, like: I think tomorrow I’m reorganizing. Not normal if you are cleaning just to host. I would think that would be a regular every week deal. Now, I can see a quick once over as that would be normal in any case, especially if you somewhere prone to dust. When we host or have random visitors nobody complains about the condition of the house.

So , NO ITS NOT NORMAL, as to the origional post, whether it be male or female....unfortunately most folks are slobs...lazy slobs who think being a slob is normal....it takes so little effort to clean and maintain.......when ever I had parties, which was often, the following weeks I had all the girls at the party calling me..including my friends girlfriends....BECAUSE I kept a clean, neat place and it impressed them.....I never complained about that......thats why I say to the origional poster, DON,T COMPLAIN about a good thing of cleanliness.....unless your a slob and don,t get it....

Ets every week, cleaned the bathroom every Friday, and had live plants.....maybe Hugh Hefner had influence on me, but it worked as to women loving g it......most women jumped my bones seeing how I lived...neat, clean, nice.......BUT,, many questioned??...was I queen or had a girlfriend ?? , because they we,re used to seeing men live clean.....but I was str8 and no attached girlfriend...I just lived the Hugh Hefner PLAYBOY life....and it worked......IT WORKED....thats why I never liked slob women homes....

As a single guy, as long as you do not have week old dishes soaking in the sink or a dead cat in the middle of the room, I really do not care.

There was a joke between the wife and I. We should bring guys over more often because the place is spotless with everything put away and clean.

I know our house is always cleanest just before a party and/or overnight guests. The Mrs is particularly a stickler for bathroom cleanliness. We have gone to parties where a bathroom wasn't up to her standards and she'll usually say, "I don't want to go back to that party." I'm more accepting, but then, I'm a guy ;-)

Hotluvrs.... I've heard about people like that. Their own lives are so pathetic and miserable that they like to spread their misery to others as entertainment. Sad.

Yeah? Me either. The 3 rounds of 3 minutes each is totally inadequate and my partners have always needed more than 1 minute between rounds just to catch their breath.

Why even discuss such a minor little detail of a bidiyor.......I myself when single always cleaned and straightened up my apt before a woman arrived.,...I didn,t live like a slob.....I had pride in my home and h oneself expected t o see the same at women's homes/apt.....and if they were slobs, it never went beyond gratuitous sex for me.....

I do know the rest. However, I use tools when I clean and don't follow the Marquess of Queensbury rules. ;)

If you are in the position required to scrub floors and clean the oven in our house, it would be normal to be anxious.
