Corona Cabin Fever?

Frazer, PA, Us

I started this as a bit of a joke, it now appears to be going political and my crazy libertarian is coming out. Sorry, i'll stop.

I do see a fair number of people out walking/jogging/biking when I go out. Once this is over, a number of people will be in the best or worst shape of their lives. Seems a lot of people are using their new found time to exercise, wihile others a getting a lot more couch time.

Frazer, PA, Us

I am staying home, and not going out except for walks etc. Social distancing as well. But anything that puts a drain on healthcare resources does affect and put others at risk. So obesity does affect and put others at risk. The power grabs and abuse of power that are going on are just frightening, some guy on a paddle board who was clearly social distancing getting arrested and engaging 2 speedboats 2 police officers and a lifeguard, someone else out for just a drive (again clearly social distancing) getting a fine from a cop. Governors threatening to send in armed national guard members to take ventilators from private healthcare providers so that he can distribute them where he feels they would be more useful. The purposeful misinformation fed to the public, like about wearing masks to help reduce the spread originally was not helpful either. This is a huge power grab and if they asked for voluntary compliance they would get it.

"If you choose not to protect yourself, you put yourself at greater risk. It should be the choice of responsible adults."

The problem with that attitude (and the comments about obesity or sunscreen etc) are those decisions impact you and only you. There is no "slippery slope" here. You want to eat yourself to death? Go for it. But if you eating too much suddenly caused your parents or children to get sick and die, would you change your routine or habits?

Greater good. Staying home saves lives, maybe yours, maybe a relative's, maybe a stranger's, maybe mine!

Going about your normal routine and doing whatever you want whenever you want to prove a point about personal liberties is selfish, pure and simple.

Yes we have some cabin fever but are doing what we think is right and staying safe. When this is over however I plan on enjoying myself.

Re: last few - While I definitely agree, I also suspect the few that cannot act properly will (at least in some cases) ruin it for those of us that are truely trying to do the right thing.

If you choose not to protect yourself, you put yourself at greater risk. It should be the choice of responsible adults.

It should not be a law to wear sunscreen, use a condom, etc.

An evolved society should be inhabited by those who take responsibility for their actions.

Though we are able to get most things online and delivered, we've been noticing that there are certain things we can't get right now. Bread, and cereal are a couple of those things. For those, we've had to go the grocery store.

There are still things you can't even get at the grocery store. For example, we could not find regular oatmeal (not the instant stuff) and we could not find yeast. I didn't even bother to look for paper products because we're still OK with what we have.

At the grocery store we could see people either wearing masks or gloves, but other than the store employees, few were wearing both. You'd think that the face masks would be a bit more available locally since it's recommened that people wear them, but like other things, people hoarded them, so some have a lifetime supply and most have none unless you're an essential worker.

We are still able to get out and walk and I have been able to get out on a bicycle and do some short (5 mile or so) rides. It's my ex-SILs bike and is a bit small for me, but it's better than nothing.

My daughter had bought the kids a bounce house and that has been seeing a lot of use by the 4 and 5 year old. Matter of fact, time to pull that out and set it up.

Government mandated vs recommended is the question here, but change the topic at all, like in order to stop STDs it is now illegal to engage in <insert your chosen kink here>. In order to stop deaths from obesity <your favorite food> is now banned. Personally I feel we are headed down a very dark path and setting some very bad precedents.

As I was trying to say earier that I do agree with doing my part to save lives however I believe we must be very careful about how many "freedoms" we give up. Saturday we drove about 60 mi to a lot we own,, took our lunch with, did not stop, did not enteract with anyone. At the lot we were greeted by niece and nephue with their kids. we talked and visited with out touching no hugs which we usually always do. I believe we were being responcible without the gov. telling me what I can do or not do

From what I am reading, the states and counties enforcing the strictest "shelter in place" policies are doing the best job of flattening the curve. Which is saving lives.

If I have to temporarily suspend my right to go to Starbucks so that a nurse or family member or stranger gets to live, I'll willingly make that sacrifice.

I've had fb friends tell me that I am unamerican for saying so. I believe accepting personal minor inconveniences for the greater good of everyone is the America I want to live in.

This is the part that really troubles me : " On Monday they gave us our papers. Yep, papers, as in, "Show us your papers! Or ve haf ways of making you TALK! Seig Hiel!" I was born a year or 2 after my dad got home from WW2 and I could tell you what he would say about being told where and when he could go out in this country I know he would want to help protect others from getting sick and would cooperate but it goes down easier when you are asked not tole. Recieveing papers indicates that someone will be stopping you to check them

OK people it's official … as per the SLS forums … this virus scare is a hoax that's been perpetuated to rob us of our liberties.

Death will also rob you of those same liberties … Life is full of choices, choose wisely.

AndrewRobin it's not just fear of the virus. Here in several local towns and small cities they have stay at home orders. In a few places they are not allowing any short term rentals which also affects the motels and hotels. So not only do you risk potential exposure to the virus but being fined or even arrested for going out for a non-essential reason. Oh and in our state there is an order banning groups of 3 or more outside your home statewide. With bars, restaurants, etc only able to do take out or delivery (no dining or drinking in) there is no neutral place you can meet and see where things go. So that limits meeting new people to see where it might lead. We are left with people we know which is not bad assuming you can run the gauntlet I mentioned. Basically like I said we have changed our position on this because quite frankly it is too much trouble. We will just wait and expand our contact base for future meetings.

This is on top of the extra stress the wife is dealing with at work. Due to what she does they are a special kind of essential with "travel papers" being handed out just in case. They also have to follow extra protocols being set forth that makes the job even harder so she is a bit more tired than normal. Of course that means people are aggravated and while my wife is very easy going the past 2 days she came home in a very foul mood from this. If this keeps up (and it looks like it will) now would not be a good time to meet up with folks. I'm sure many others are feeling such stresses. Overall this is not a COVID-19 fear but it damn well is a byproduct of such fears.

Hilliard, OH, Us

This is ridiculous.

I go out every day. I'm an essential employee. On Monday they gave us our papers. Yep, papers, as in, "Show us your papers! Or ve haf ways of making you TALK! Seig Hiel!" I also haven't changed my hand washing habits, which is every time I use the bathroom, and that's it.

So I'm out every day. I go to work at 6am, and get my temperature taken at the door. I and the couple hundred people in there are touching things all day long. No amount of cleaning can possibly keep up with that.

At 10am I go to lunch. I drive around the block to the Speedway station, touch the door handle on the way in, go to the heated cabinet where they have burgers or small pizzas ready to take, touch the handle of the cabinet to open it and get something, go over to the drink section, touch the handle on the refrigerator to get a coke, then I fucking social distance on the x marks on the floor in the line to pay, use my debit card and touch the keypad and the touch screen to get that done, then touch the door handle on the way out again.

Back to work to finish the day. Some days I go to Wal-Mart or Kroger after work where I touch more door handles and refrigerator handles, and another card keypad on the way out.

Then I read about people not swinging because they fear the corona virus. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I could jump right into the middle of a ten couple orgy and I'd hardly be more exposed to corona virus than I already am! I believe we may have finally achieved peak stupidity. I don't fear the virus. I fear all the people who are going along with the government's nazi tactics without a peep of protest. That scares the shit out of me. If they announced they had set up a virus free zone somewhere that only people who test negative can get into, but you have to take this train out to where it is, some of you people would get on the fucking train.

Hi everyone! I'm new here. Just wanted to pop in and say hello to you all. I hope everyone is safe and staying sane during this crazy ass time in the world. I for sure have corona cabin fever lol. I don't have a partner to play with during this quarantine so it's been pretty boring. I created this account and then everything shut down haha. At least i will be able to get to know some of you first ;) Welp... don't be shy! if you would like to chat.. or even video chat.. just send me a message. Virtual sex is better than nothin. Am i right? lmao

Amid all of this stay home and don’t socialize, everything is closed as a result of this virus...has anyone given rise to the thought that more people will incur health issues as a result of not being able to maintain it through diet and exercise...we need our gym time back. I mean, we burn calories through laughter and sex, and we keep our minds healthy with erotic thoughts when around others. I’m about ready to develop a swinger chant and poster in protest...LOL. I just need a good jingle as I’m tired of the “Hell no, we won’t go” line. Something snappy...

OMG when the hell will this be over I my balls are so full I can fill a oil tanker bc of lack of sex. lol lets just all get tested and if you are ok you get laid. or just take everyone's temp lol. We are New Yorkrs Come on my fellow Swingers we should take this laying down or doggy which ever way you like as long as we all cum.

When this is over, I think we are going to coordinate a small and intimate gathering. Everyone gets a turn on the massage table. May be a dice game to get things going or even a lingerie show to prolong the fun that will follow. Who knows. May be some responsible intimate photography too.
