Could we at least have the "option" of IMing without the video feature? IM makes it so easy to have a conversation, but with video now required we have to dress to impress. No one wants to see us in our dirty work clothes or see up my nose because of a camera angle I didn't adjust. Yes, keep the video feature, I'm sure many people like it. But at least give us the option of IMing without it.
Definitely agree with ItalianGinger4u2. Implementing the new Video chat feature was a waste. We won't use it.

The video chat feature for me only has one problem, I don't know what it's bell or notification sounds like, the text alone has nothing. But the video chat is important in that it is a way varify somebody by old school telephone standard of person to person. Somebody made the comment earlier that there were so many other sites that have a video that people could go to and use; well they actually can't for that is against the rules. And with the possibility of and the epidemic of Catfishing, having a live video is one of our best solutions. Now, having gone on a few dates from here and other sites I know why most people have wanted to do away with the video chat feature. It is because they are or have become FAT. They would not be able to use an image from 5-10 years ago in their video chat as they have done with their profile pictures.
Now to answer the original question here of do I get a lot of guys masturbating on the video etc. I can answer that as an absolute no. That is to say on the video texting for a member to member contact. If you mean inside the chat rooms, and for instance the most popular video room called voyant. Yes, there are a few, but you can basically judge a book by it's cover and know that is what it means to be in that room. You don't have to watch the videos if you don't want too. In retro I am not sure if I am judging this correctly that the name unicorn fits you. For a Unicorn is basically the 3rd or person who helps out a couple with a fantasy and does what needs to be done. Maybe candy corn would be better, for you seem sticky like candy. But I could and mostlikely have this entirely wrong. Sorry just a bit of adult teasing.
Pretty sure all that would be better left for the actual person to person encounter. If not, why bother getting together with someone. We are lifetime members, so we will stay on, but its going down hill fast.

The video chat is probably the biggest waste of time and resources SLS has implemented. No one cares and anyone that wants to IM or video chat has a plethora of options to do so off site.
The focus should be on profiles, events, the calendar and site usability. It’s so buggy and the features being added aren’t really anything most people want from all the feedback we’ve seen/heard.
