We have a nice short four word certification. But it is followed by those dreaded question marks, which total changes the feel of the cert. Another failure of SLS programmers.
Random insertion of double question marks
Exactly. ?? (That's a smiley face)
This team of highly trained web developers hasn't been able to build a platform that displays emoticons, that cutting edge feature that has been around for nearly 30 years. ?? (eyeroll)
~Scamp
You hit the nail on the head. It's the emoticons that cause that.
Not sure if it is true but I've heard it mentioned that attempting to insert emoji will cause the "??" in text fields. I've never tried it since I have no idea where emoji come from - If I want a smiley face, I go old school. :-)
Wayne has a sense of humor? ??
Fooled us all these years!
Keep it up dude. I like this version better!

Because the site has rules regarding what type of pictures people can share and if we allowed that, some people would not respect the rules and send others all sorts of pictures, such as illegal content or that stock photo of 8 feet sticking out of covers to indicate that you are a swinger. Come to think of it, I guess it could indicate that they are really tall people whose feet stick out of covers.

I know, it doesn’t make sense, unless they are low on storage space. I’d gladly donate an 8 -10TB drive to help unlock the potentials.
Speaking of potentials, what then would keep a person from inserting malicious code into a picture and sending it direct?
Mamma duck may be protecting her chicks.

On my iPad I have to tap on the profile name in the top right corner, then select support>Create new ticket>Choose file. I then can choose any picture on my iPad.
So I can send any picture I want in a private message to Support. It’s a private message, not for public consumption. So why would they not allow the very same feature in a private message between two paid members?
Menu, help, click on “Support Ticket System“, choose file.

Wayne,
I've never submitted a ticket. How does one go about including a screenshot?
Beavis and Butthead voice
Huhuhuhuh....
you said "insertion"
Huhuhuhuhuhuhuhuh...

Please submit a ticket regarding this and if possible, include some screen-shots.

SLS has an in-house team of full time developers. This is not a side job for anyone.

We've had a disturbing number of instances of random double question marks being inserted at the end of potentially any open text field on the site.
Profile descriptors, hot dates, messages, posts to this very message board.
It's not a huge deal, but it's an annoyance, and makes us sound way less sure of ourselves, and what were trying to say!
Is it us? Does the site not like our choice of hardware/software/platform/sluttiness/selectiveness/other?
Can't seem to discern any patterns, other than it seems to know when the worst possible times are.
Little help?
