It is all related to the record keeping requirment - U.S.C. 2257. The law requires producers (all of you) of certain sexually explicit material to gather and maintain records concerning the age and identity of individuals performing in those scenes, and to make those records available for inspection by law enforcement officials.

The law is 18 U.S.C. 2257. Joe Francis, the founder of "Girls Gone Wild" was prosecuted and found guilty of violating this record keeping requirement.

It has nothing to do with the law which doesn't ban explicit photos. It's about Google/Apple and availability of the app. Wayne has given that answer in response to the same question in the past. Personally, I don't have a problem with SLS being cautious in order to keep the app available, just don't change the story.

Perhaps if a simple one sentence explanation about Google/Apple restrictions for the app were added to the photo management page, a lot of these questions would be handled without members being as frustrated by the photo rules.

One person breaking the law is not justification for other people to break the law. People speed all the time and get away with it, but some get pulled over and ticketed.

Well how is it AFF allows all pics to be sent on their email system even from outside their system.

SLS only allows you to send public and private pictures with messages. This is by design and it is due to the laws governing explicit content on the internet. The law is the whole reason we have separated out explicit content and placed such content in the personal area.

The issue isn't with folders outside of the SLS site. It is my folder within the SLS site.

@Onehorneywife, SLS does not have the feature to upload form a folder outside of the site, so technically it's not "broken". We have asked for this feature to be added some time ago since we don't keep any of our more risque pictures on the site. Also, it would help the wall along if we could post pictures there as well. Basically the lack of functionality forces us to seek alternate forms of comms. SLS is a great Rolodex® though, can't beat it, very extensive. M

I think that’s normal. We can only send pics from our public and private galleries.

I have tried a number of times to post a pic from our Personal folder to a message that I am having with someone. The only pics that load for me are either Public ones or Private ones. What am I doing wrong or is this another SLS feature that doesn't work?
