Messaging free members?

We certainly agree on one thing.

Under TOOLS >Privacy There is this nifty little toggle to make you invisible to free members. This should provide sufficient barrier to wasting time.

I was pregnant when I signed us up. At the time you were able to email a bit back and forth, and I think IM, if you were free. We talked to a few couples, but we also eventually paid to get full use of the site. Read that as look at all the pics and send more than 5 emails a day. We were month to month for a long time because: babies. After a while we did pay for lifetime.

It's something like 15 a month here. Some couples spend that in coffee a day. (No judgment, just pointing it out.) That's a bargain compared to other sites. If someone is looking to check things out, then maybe look at one of the other sites that offer a full site trial period. If any still do that?

Also, I really think a lot of the free accounts here are guys (kids) looking for spank bank material, couples where the wife has no idea and "come see me here!"

I guess we all have our own ways of seeing things.

We might never have taken the dive into the LS if it were not for the guidance and patience of SLS members who shepherded us through the decision while we were free members. Once the decision was made we subscribed for a few months and then Lifetime.

No one "wasted" time on us. Everyone new just exactly where we were and they invested the time of their own free will.
We may have a chance to visit with one of those couples at SunAura at the end of the month.
Until it was made impossible we tried to return the favor to others who were circling around the event horizon, even when there was no possibility of ever meeting, do to distance.

If you can’t afford a few dollars for a membership then you really shouldn’t be able to afford wasting people’s time.

I don't know about anyone else, but we actually like the way it is set up now. A lots less "come see me here on xxxwhatevermysiteisxxx! xoxo"

Its real crappy that free members cant read or reply to messages from at least lifetime/paid members. Once upon a time SLS USED to let free members reply to messages sent by paid members. Those were the good ole days. It was considered a benefit for the paid members. Not any more.

Free members can see that they have messages but have to pay for a membership in order to actually read the messages.

So yes, your message was delivered.

And no, you're not being ignored because as long as they're a free member your message is not received.

Don't waste your time. Free members can't see any messages sent to them.

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it in the search. Is it possible to message free members? When I try to, I don't think it goes through since .I don't see it in my history. Are they actually getting my messages, or are they just ignoring me?
