Messages Down

Messages down again. Ridiculous.

Can't speak for messages being delayed as I'm a single guy and don't get enough messages to do a comparison. What I do see happening with messages is that a message displays a limited number of characters then it continues in a new bubble. For example: A 300 character message might be broken into 3 separate bubbles when it should all be one contiguous message[/quote]Exactly same issues here also ??????. Nothing matches between the two. We seem to like old site better for example if we have new views today they may show up on new site days later or never. Then we may notice new profile views on new site but not on old site very inconsistent.

well messages are down again

...allows paid members to send a message to free members... Free members still cannot see or respond to messages

Brilliant. Paid members can send a message to a free member, but the recipient cannot see the message.

<p>We made an update that now allows paid members to send a message to free members, even when you have your profile hidden from free members. If this block had anything to do with the issue of some member's messages disappearing, that should solve it or at least rule this out for being the cause. Free members still cannot see or respond to messages, so it does not effect that.</p>

Messages down. Page is frozen. Not a phone issue. We use Android system. Tried all resets possible.

Will do. And I can report that messages sent today via my laptop on Chrome have all gone through.

<p>If you have not done so, try sending some messages from the new swing.com site. I have heard from other members having this issue that the messages work when they use swing.com.</p>

Could be iPhone related Wayne. I just did a message from my Chrome PC browser and it went through. I will try to track when it's happening and keep you updated. Thanks for taking the time to look into it

Must be Iphones.. we have had multiple messages from many everyday on our computer no issues?

From what I can tell, it is happening with members using iPhones. But only some have the issue. For myself, the other staff members and most of our customers, it works without issue. It has to be some setting or something installed on the iPhone. I'm still working on it.</p>

Wayne, Is there any progress on the message limbo issue? I’d say that almost 7 out of every 10 messages I send just vanish without sending. Sometimes after trying 5 or more times I just give up. I’ve tried both the app and desktop versions on chrome & safari but it still happens. There appears to be no rhyme or reason as to why or when.

Been having issues with messages disappearing over the weekend into today. Very frustrating!! Hope the moderator or webmaster sees our complaints and does something to remedy the problem

Disappearing messages happening again today.

Message limbo in full effect tonight. None of my replies are sending and jut vanishing. I’d highly recommend copying to clipboard BEFORE sending unless you like retyping the same message over and over.

I even tried sending a reply to Wayne to let him know and poof vanished

Just an update to Wayne as I tried 5 times to add on a reply to his direct message in both the app and here where the app sent the message to limbo 4 times. Now on the site here the message screen isn’t even loading

I really hope the “Message Limbo” is fixed with the new site. Once again this morning I’m trying to respond to a message and my reply just vanished upon hitting send.

I sent a response also to a guy this morning and it never posted. Just did it again and it worked. Ridiculous that we should have to turn on or off any of the stuff on here to make the site work properly.

<p>You need to turn off the "Hide from free members" option. It will also effect new members that have just paid. Just temporarily turn it off and see if it makes a difference.</p>

Message limbo has been an issue for quite some time here. It's happening again today. I just drafted a detailed welcome message to a new couple and as soon as I hit send POOF disappeared into SLS limbo. I try to get in the habit of copying the text before hitting send, but sometimes forget.

Update to app seams to have major bugs. Keeps crashing. However it will load after 2 crashes. My phone wanted to put it in deep sleep do to this issue.

Has been really sporadic on my Samsung A15 with access to messages.. My wife's Samsung S22+ will not load messages. Have uninstalled new app and reinstalled 2 times.
