My educated guess is that the entire forum text takes up less space than 5-10 pictures posted on a profile.</p>

I have to wonder if SLS regrets adding the "Reply to...." feature? I realize it's just text and not a significant amount of data storage-wise, but it has definitely blown up the average forums post size.

sls_WayneC - So still curious if something changed recently or if it was perhaps just Chrome weirdness? My laptop with Windows 11 wasn't showing me red squiggles for typos in forums posts, but it is now.
I didn't know about right clicking on the red squiggly line either - but honestly, since most of my typos are fat-finger or dyslexia related it's easier & faster to just backspace and fix it without taking my hands off the keyboard.

My laptop is running Windows 10 and underlines misspelled words with a red squiggly line so I can fix them - shouldn't that be enough for most thinking adults?
My laptop wasn't even doing that, but for some reason, now it is. You can right-click on the squiggly red line and see the suggested spelling. Did something change?
I use Chrome and it sometimes misbehaves when it has a pending update and I don't notice it. For example, there are times where I am unable to cut/paste, but finish the update and things work again as expected.
<p><span style="font-size:14px"><span style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:open sans,sans-serif">A big part of my life is computers and until someone recently pointed it out, I did not know that you could right-click on the </span>"squiggly red line" and correct the spelling. Was the "Spelling" button working for you?
It was, but it seemed to have gotten a bit slower just before it disappeared.

This doesn't apply if doing this via a Windows laptop.

Is there someplace that shows what's available inside the forum editor? For example, is it possibly to post a bulleted list? For that matter, is it possible to post any sort of list without having to have a blank line between each list item?
<p>Is it still happening? It might be something in the content of your post. Or just try logging out and back in and see if that helps.</p>
I just tried posting 3 times to the Open Forum > Obituaries topic and it didn't post and threw no error. Weird.
owcangrace - "Multiple good constructive posts and of course a whiner shows up."
Who was that aimed at? I block a few and have been blocked by a few, so can't always tell for sure who/what someone is responding to.
Multiple good constructive posts and of course a whiner shows up..
One oddity that I've noticed is that the OP of a topic isn't automatically subscribed to that topic. I've just noticed that yet again on the topic I created about The Wall. Is this a bug?
God forbid SLS actually update it's code. I mean it only looks like it's been 30 years. Might be good for another 30 as long as someone, somewhere is running Netscape on a P100 processor.
Wayne - don't forget to mention to the developers that the same paragraph spacing happens in profile text.
If it's any help, it appears that the first paragraph is displayed using a different font than subsequent paragraphs.

<p>Also note that my editor has its own issues. Sometimes it drops spaces between words. I had a space between "<span style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:open sans,sans-serif; font-size:14px">because" and "inevitably" in the post below and it dropped it.</span></p>

<p>Either way would require the code to be updated. I doubt they would give the members a full editor because inevitably someone would write all their posts in 72 point bold font or make every character of a paragraph a different color.</p>
<p>I checked into it further. Your retruns (CRLF) are being stored, they just are not being displayed properly (between paragraph 1 and 2) because HTML generally strips out whitespace and the markup doesn't appear to be correct. I just created a ticket for the developers.</p>
Is there anything that I can set (i.e. forum editor) that would make it so that I don't need 3 blank lines between the 1st and 2nd paragraph to acheive one blank line in the actual post?
Wayne, I know you commented on this a while ago and said you use a different editor. If so, is that publically available?
