we can change our profile name...BUT loosing all the certs is not worth it,... even lifetime members loose their certs?
Changing Profile Names
Oh Sunshine, don't you worry.
The new profiles (all three of them) were naturally completely free of any blocks. But, but, but...you and you Ga/Fla select FWB were the very first actions we took to get those blocks back in place.
But as you see, the blocks are as impotent as is your cleverness.
Happy M-Day, Sunshine. ;^D
As a paying member I should be able to change my profile name without this drama and without punishment of losing my certifications. Don’t understand why this is so difficult other websites do this without deleting other information ...
My two cents
It appears the OP's name change hasn't lifted the block I've placed or it's another of his multiple profile names I've already blocked, so maybe not all is lost in when someone changes their user name.....lol
Thanks Wayne, the change went pretty easily.
I agree that it would be much nicer if we could just pay a fee (if necessary) and have the profile name changed without disrupting the other aspects of the profile, but that's not available.
In any event, I wanted our single profiles (Lady and I) to be as identifiable as possible with our couple's profile. Since it is not allowed to actually name your other profile(s) in a profile narrative, I decided to change the names on all three accounts and have them as much alike as I could.
It's true that this caused us to lose the history that we had with our couple's account, but in the end I'm not overly worried about it.
have no idea why a simple name change has to disrupt what was years of friendships, contacts, emails, blocks, certifications, forum posts, etc...
my name is leftover from a previous relationship... seems somewhat misleading in that it sounds like a couple... but Im not gonna start from day one to just change my name
there has to be a better way SLS......
@Townhousesocials: Based on the information I posted from the “help” section, you are correct, all contents are lost.

From the “help “ section of the website:
“Can I change my member name? “
“You cannot change the member name of your profile without loosing ALL of its content. “
“If you are a free member, just create a new profile (with the new name you want to use) and then delete your old profile.”
“If you are a paid member, create a new profile (with the new name you want to use) and then leave profile "Billing” a message from the old profile to transfer your payment over to the new profile. “
I broke it into sections, which pertain to it’s relevant information for easier reading.

I was told that I would have to create a new profile to change my profile name and I would lose all my certifications ..

This option is available to all paid members.

There used to be a thread with info on this, but it has been deleted.
My question is this:
I understand that the only way to change our profile name is to create a new profile altogether and then have the membership that's been paid transferred over to the new account. I also understand that this will cause all previous emails, certs, forum posts, etc... to be lost to the new profile.
My question is whether this option is available only to Lifetime members or is it also available to other paid members?
