Background Checks for single men on the site

Unfortunately it seems the majority of us nice, respectful, good single guys have to try and battle through the bad rep caused by a number of A guys. This post reminds me of a profile I read that said single men must show proof of STD testing... my reply was , so couples and single Fast are trusted by you to be clean? Obviously I got no return mail...

How about background checks for everyone, not just singles males? I've come across plenty of shady couples and single females in the LS.

Regarding single males.
If they have no open pictures or certs after 6 months we won't waste our time.

We have found profiles from 2002 with no certs or pictures( free members)

I don't think that would work as on the net anyone can enter any kind of information especially for background checks... as your still couldn't validate I'd that's really their real info.

There are no liability issues as we all are using the site at our own risk so if you hear someone say lower the liability risk if you make a bad decision or what we think is a good decision for whatever reason the site is not responsible for that it's just a platform that we personally have decided to use to engage in whatever activities we have decided to engage in.

Seems like everybody's always worried about putting liability on somebody else instead of taking responsibility for her own decisions..... just sad.

Before the web you had to buy a magazine at a bookstore, troll the pages( print was terrible and cheaply done). Then you had write your letter, provide a loose stamp, envelope and 1 or 2 dollars CASH.

It was a drag.

LOL! We have had far scarier moments with "predator couples" than single males. Swinging was so much more fun before the internet!

Id be fine with that. Its not that expensive and it worth it. I honestly think that a verification check on free members would be nice as well. Verifying your identity is very important and can save alot of time.

How about for bipolar women?

If background checks are going to be done, it should be for EVERYONE, not just single males. ;-)

I have nothing to hide but as a single male its risky meeting others. Who knows if the couple or single you are meeting isn't wanting rob or assault you?

Single men are not the only people capable of criminal or deviant behavior. Being singled out and stereotype as the originator of this thread did is both out of line and insulting.

Good morning. I agree with what u are stating.And yes it should be. Me i have nothing to hide. Plus maybe you should chat with the gentlemen a few time and then see and take your judgement.If gentlemen is trying to be pushy are rush you then that is a sign of a bad date. Also ask him for his Lab Results and etc.He or she provide it and post it on his profile.Then u know you have a true honest person. So in closing i would be very honor in joining u on this.

Just use your common sense. if you really want a date with a single man and feel safe you can go to match or other site. even their you have no guarantees. Good Luck

If they do this I'd request a refund of my life membership. I've nothing to hide but that's going too far. This site already treats us single males as second class citizens enough. I've run into plenty of single women and couples that are completely Looney tunes.... So no... I'd be against it unless this unicorns have to do it too....and even then I'd vote no. But i probably wouldn't have a vote... Being a single male.

I hear you can buy vouchers from China and looks like the real thing too.

At any rate, my dog is extremely high-profile, and he'll vouch for us.

It might have been said but "background checks" on members who many don't even want to show their face. :-) that should be good for business.

Sauce for the gander, sauce for the goose, I say. Single men aren't just the bad apples of the website because I've had unpleasant experiences with pushy couples e.g. always the husband. No, if you proclaim background checks for one group, it should be background checks for everyone. I know a lot of people here are fed up to the back teeth of flakes and jerks but there are amazing people out there, I promise. I've run across a few and it makes all the difference.

Are you kidding me, background checks on single men only? Why not just line us up on a separate section on site and with a warning sticker.

Well as a brand new single guy, I would welcome the background check. As a professional, educated, regular tax paying citizen, this would be advantageous for me as well as for everyone. Once again as new, single guys are the low men on the totem pole of course, but why not have background checks on everyone? Today I was invited to visit a couple, she appears to be smoking hot and 28. I do think a gal or couple could do worse than I, in many ways, but I am concerned. It could be that there is no women, other than the pics, or that they will rob me. I would welcome any sage wisdom.

Might try getting his name and Google him. Look at his FB page you should get a fairly good idea of the type of person he is. I had a female do this after I called her. my name came up on her Caller ID. I didn't mind as i have NOTHING to hide. Also if your going to do a Background check on guys you might want to do the same for the women. I have heard stories of women drugging guys and robbing them. NO I am NOT saying it was done here. It was in a bar.

Constantcravings-- in most cases, the certs are great and will tell you if he, or the couples are nice, decent people.

We're aware of a SM who has been to our house parties (won't be here again), and still attends others. Nice guy..but the fact that someone had to give him a ride and take him back, never to home, raised some suspicions, at least to us.

Turns out that he's listed on the State's sex offender list, and went to prison for serial battery....again, nice guy.

Certs wouldn't be able to give that picture. And we reported this one to SLS when we found out, and nada was done....disappointing in the least for us.

Not saying that a background check is the way to go, but it does make us wonder how many use fake names, where at the very least a scan of an ID might be helpful....
