Not happy about this either. We didn't even notice until we came in here to express our frustration with the events section. All of this could have been handled much better. We know a number of people on this site and this has killed the experience for them as well. The lifetime members have been loyal and tolerant, but the missteps with the changes are even wearing on us.
So if this is all switching over completely when will it happen??? My photos are taken mostly with my phone I do not know if there is a date stamp on them.?
The date stamp is applied at the time you upload the photo to the site, not the time you actually took the photos. Technically you could use the date taken, but that data is trivial to fake, and often removed along the way anyway.

As Swing builds out more and more functionality, I think most members will migrate over because there won't be as many new features added to Swing Lifestyle. </p>

<p>Swing Lifestyle code is 24 years of revamp and Band-Aids which is very challenging to work with and is why we decided to build everything brand new from the ground up on Swing.com. Thisprovides opportunities for major new features that are on the way. <br />
Swing Lifestyle will remain online for an extended period of time and will probably continue to exist as a Legacy site.<br />

<p>just to reiterate one more time. Any payments made on either site or the app automatically apply to all three there is not never will be a separate charge</p>

I see no way of accessing the historical files.

The question is how??

We also had a file that was largely just a trip down memory lane. Also seems to be purged. That one was just largely for us so that we needn't keep them on our personal computers. We rarely if ever opened them to others unless they were in the party and we were all refreshing our memories.

The images and galleries should still exist offline and we will look into solutions that make sense down the road a bit. <br />

Eagle like you we agree on keeping profile photos updated and at least they , SLS dated them which was a good start.. ours are all within the last couple years and like you we change them up frequently, always have.

The issue that many of us have on SLS is our XXX play photos were only for our select FWB;s of actual playtime experiences showing what the play was about and with who.. for us we used them like ones CERT , which showed some great playtime experiences first hand.

For 'us" the photos told us more than just a CERT for meeting and breathing which some have by the dozen in the profiles to this day way over 5 years. We see many 10-15 years old .

Do we still have some recent XXX photos yes but the ones over 5 years ago were stories and play that cannot be reproduced for various reasons.. it was just a very bad execution without letting those know on the main page they would be removed.. says volumes on what the thought process is at SLS .

Very poor execution .. believe me we have other sites, including financial ones, music sites almost anything and when a new web site or page is up and running all is merged flawlessly.

If they wanted to limit photo size they should have said so.. if they want to free up space get rid of a lot of the unnecessary forum crap that has nothing to do with swinging.. but creates dissention in the swinging community with the daily banter over non swinging issues.

Okay enough said its SLS site owners and they can do anything they want which was obvious.

Read the TOS.

Everyone has an opinion on the pictures and I am certain that all were considered by the mods.
That being said, we do our best to keep our pics within about 2 years (with the exception of the Bliss Cruise pics.
While we didn't complain, it was becoming increasingly common to meet people and not recognize them because their pics were undated, 10 -15 years old, and 20-50lbs "lighter".
Let's face it, there IS an element of physical attraction that goes along with the LS. And both Shannon and I have had folks tell us that either one (or both) of us are not attractive to the couple or partner. We are fine with that. That's one reason WHY we have so many photos up.

I’m with everybody that they shouldn’t have deleted your files without our permission. If other were complaining about old pictures those were probably wanted to look at pictures and not interested in meeting or in the lifestyle. This was uncalled for them to do this. If I wasn’t a lifetime member and a person paying monthly we would just stop our membership. Very unethical by the people running this site

Wayne most of our pictures had dates on them. I have been on that crusade for years.

It is sort of funny that one of the reasons we signed up originally was the ability to store out Lifestyle related pictures here.
Funny how SLS just decided to do this without taking a vote or actually asking the paying members their opinion. If you don't like em' don't look.
<p>We did get feedback from our members. That is why we did this. Members had been requesting it. There is even a thread in this forum section talking about it and us saying we were going to delete the pictures. Scroll down and look for: "<strong><span style="color:blue">All photos must have the date uploaded imprinted on it</span>". </strong></p>

<p>I'm truely sorry that some of you are upset. We still believe that this is the best course of action for the majority of our members and even though we do have some negative feedback, that still seems to be the case that most members would support this.</p>

The old SLS version allows the creation of multiple galleries within the Public, Private and Personal categories. Will you be considering this feature for the new Swing version?
