A couple of things we noticed today.

The new messaging system breaks up messages in to very small chunks. This makes messages difficult to read and does not add any functionality to your site. Every other swinger site just have a standard messaging platform where an entire message is sent as one item. Only SLS breaks messages up based on length and you have made it worse on the new site. Messages that appeared as one message on the old site are not broken up into multiple chunks on the beta sight. So, in this case, you have reduced the functionality.

For Wide or Tall cards, it would be very useful for notes to appear or at least a notes icon. This will save users a great deal of time. We interact with a lot of people and use notes on their profile as reminders for how we have met, etc.

SLS has a very draconian approval model compared to other swinger site. Most sites allow users to post changes to their profiles, pictures, etc. instantly and rely on reporting to identify posts, pictures, or profile issues that don't comply with the rules. Such a model allows your staft to only focus on non-compliance issues instead of trying to moderate absolutely everything on the site. Use your members to identify bad issues and focus on those and quit wasting your resources trying to approve everything that happens.
The messaging system was actually modified this week and new messages posted should no longer break up

Notes were also added to the cards this week.

Instant approval of profile changes is already an item on our list

On the one hand, I do think there needs to be up to date options for this. However, one can go down a rabbit hole fast when one stops to think of the possibilities. (agender, genderfluid, queer, two-spirt, ect) I've had some great conversations with our LGBTQ+ friends and even they can't agree upon a set list of options. They present good reasons too in that some people don't like to be consigned to a box. Otherers feel their identity overlaps or can vary.

Bottom line is you can't please everyone but one potential solution is what we suggested in our post. Place a list of the most common options (straight, bi, gay, lesbian, trans as some examples) and then put in one more option for "Other" with a text box next to it to allow the user to elaborate as they see fit. "Other" becomes the key word on any search or filter and the description can be seen if anyone visits the profile. This gives the user the freedom to describe themselves as they wish while giving the developers the means to still filter searches along a key word.

Just saw notes are included on the Tall and Wide Cards. Much better. This will make our lives so much easier as hosts of a group.

We are on many sites all around the world, and here are the things that ALL OF THEM DO and SLS does not.

 • email notifications. Every site in the world gives you options of being notified by email when you get a message, a like, a friend request, etc. SLS makes timely communication impossible.
 • immediate profile edits. All of them have the same TOS - no phone numbers, kik names, telegram handles. Yet all of them allow you to see your edits immediately, not wait 24-48 hours to find out you mistyped a word and now have to wait another day to correct it. Does SLS really need a very over-worked human to check every profile?
 • likes/pokes/nudges. Sometimes you just want to say "hi" without saying "hi'.
 • more options than Straight/Bi-c/Bi. A very high percentage, if not a majority, of men are flexible about same-sex contact. They are not bi, not bi-curious, but tolerate or welcome incidental or intentional touch. Currently they need to communicate that as "open-minded" or "not homophobic".
 • and, obviously, age. That makes no sense. Every site we've ever been on asks you to input your year of birth. If someone wants to lie, that's on them, but SLS is the only one that makes it inaccurate by default.
We second these suggestions.

We would also add to suggestion two: If references to external messages are to be blocked, much of that proofing can be solved using technology. RegEx (or pattern searching for) has been an industry standard for many years in such situations. You can also have a secondary layer like other sites that allow other users to report a violation. Or barring that, if you must have a human filtering every last profile update, why not use what I just mentioned, allow the profile to post instantly, and then queue it up for a review after the fact? The whole idea should be to find balance between user friendly and site security.

Suggestion three we would strongly agree with. In fact, build on it like this (in no particular order): Straight, Heteroflexible, Bi-curious, Bi-situational, Bi-friendly, Bisexual, Pansexual, Lesbian, Gay. Add then this list one more option that would perhaps say, "Other" and with it, provide a text box allowing the user to enter their own brief description of what their choice might be.

Now one final suggestion we would make. Provide a similar model for relationship. We would suggestion: Couple MF, Couple FF, Couple MM, Single F, Single M, Throuple, Poly, Other.
We do have a rregex but spammers just constantly work around it. We have other options we are working on including internal AI. The concept of allowing edits to be immediately visible but still reviewed will be discussed with the team.

Gender and orientation are on our list
Fail
1st there is no point in beta testing something partially finished. There is no way to say ok it is good. But as of right now it is 100 percent useless

# 2 when you hover over profile can not see who they are meaning female couple and what they are interested in without actually opening up their profile

Couples get enough males . Us single males should not have to open a profile to see if they like singles. the hover on original page is great

# 3 and your biggest issue with your site is we get. zero notice if some one sends a message this is an easy fix if you an not fix I know people that can fix thi s simple matter. this sis such a simple fix and has been non existent for SLS for a decade now LOL no ROFLMAO

Mind you I like SLS I say this to help you s i have been in computers since the 80's So please fix simple things that should have been fixed 10 years ago

I suggest you look at fet and see how fast you get a message a couple contacted you. because waiting till i sign on to say hello makes people feel like you are not interested.

FIX THE EMAIL it is simplest of fixes we know what is wrong with it
Releasing this as beta has actually been massively helpful so that we do not build out on the wrong direction.

The last of her feature is being worked on but I suggest you take a look at the cards as well.

By notification of mail I assume you are referring to an email alerting you when you receive a message?
