Profile Review Please

Thank you again for all your help, ALL of you it is greatly appreciated.

I used to tutor really smart people whose grasp of English grammar and syntax was a bit shaky, so I'm familiar with the problem. You can catch a lot of errors if you put it aside for a few hours and read aloud what you wrote. Whatever, you make yourself understood very well. ;-)

GGMM thank you, I have a grammar check on my computer but it never seems to catch little things like these. If it were not for having a proof reader I am certain I would have never gotten through college.

It's not all grammar, but here goes:

Looking For: It's NO MM comma, and MFM not MMF (because that's man in the middle, and you've said you don't do that).

Description: Leave out the "well" after museums, she really lets (not let's) go of ALL inhibitions, loves toy play (not toy's) and there is a comma after experienced before and before within reason. You can leave the second is out of the sentence that begins "Hubby is very."

There is one other place with an error of grammar, but the best way to fix it is to use "whom," and that would clang in your profile. So, I think it's better the way it is.

I might have missed one (I often do), but this will fix most of the minor issues.

GGMM I would love help with any grammatical issues. And thank you for the critique

Hi. I really love your photos (smiles in all of them!) and while I have a few quibbles about grammar (I'll tell you what they are if you like, but what you have won't bother even the stickiest of sticklers), I think it's a terrific profile.

While some folks whose only encounter with you is via your SLS profile might have issues with your weight, I don't believe too many meeting you in person would. The two of you sound delightful and fun to be with and I think you probably shine in social settings. Faced with real people instead of statistics, most of us are far more open than you might imagine.

Good luck!

We wouldn't mention the surgery at all. When it comes time to schedule a date you can then choose to disclose the info or just pick a date a couple weeks out.

Or would it be best to take out the update as well?

Thank you both, your critique means a lot to us. I was thinking of removing all together the part of the wife's surgery but given that we are still a few weeks out at least for her to be able to play I thought the update was helpful. I will take out the other section of talking about since her surgery.

I think some of the pictures are good- you are doing interesting things - car racing, Disney, whatever. I might go a little lighter on the surgery aspect, but I think it is coming along well.

Except for all the talk about your wife's surgery and your new focus on leading a healthy lifestyle I like it.

I get why you include the health stuff but I think it's better to leave it out and talk to it with people one on one rather than put it in the profile. It may result in an otherwise compatible couple passing you by thinking you're not yet ready to meet and play.

We have made some changes to our profile since our last visit here, while we are still working on more pictures of us together, we have had a bit of time to re-word some of our profile. We are hoping to get out in the next week or two and will update pictures then, been hard to get good pictures while my wife was recovering from her surgery. As last go around we are looking for honest input, no matter how critical or mean it may sound. We have also since her surgery been working with a nutritionist as continuing to work with our Dr. on our weight. We know our weight will limit us in the lifestyle, but as we see results our profile will reflect the changes. We look forward to your advice.

Thank You
