Sounds like you had a great time! The plus side is that you were able to make some good connections that hopefully you have followed up on. The majority of the people we meet and play with are people we meet at parties or referrals from friends.
Hollyblue and that what I did that evening was stay glued to their side despite offers from other couples to join them pre-party. I would not have been right to leave the couple I was with, plus they were kind enough to pay the door fee and pay for the hotel room

For "us" we had a wingman well over 7 years in GA.. took him or met him on vacation in NOLA, FLORIDA, Costa Rica.. etc etc .. you get the picture. We had a very open relation with him.. he would take the wife out on dates in and out out of town, dancing late at night.. sex was fantastic and he knew his roll in 3sums.. he would find other couples or singles male and female some worked out some didnt..
We all moved on and we do miss him.. some things in life change and so do people..

Flex, as advised ask the couple what their expectations are when you go to the party. We have done the +1/ wingman thing many times and we really have fun with it. There are couples, like us, who are more than happy to help introduce a good sm to new people and we only expect them to be kind and courteous. There are others who expect the wingman to be glued to the lady's hip. She may just want you to be the new accessory she shows off. Generally, you will want to hang with couple you came with at the beginning and try and play with them first. We have seen sm's, for the most part, ditch the couple who brought them and it caused some big problems.
Had a party recently and had chatted with one of the single women that was going to be attending and she mentioned she wanted to be gangbanged. I talked briefly with a couple guys at the party and asked them to be my wingmen to help do her. One of the 2 guys had played with this girl recently and she mentioned they had fun together.
Shortly after the party started I couldn't find my wingmen. I found them in a bedroom upstairs and they started without me. Was no big deal because the idea was for her to have fun, which she was, so I just joined them at that point.
For SMs that enjoy being 1 of X guys, this works out very well. I know of girls that enjoy being 1 of X guys but are reluctant to ask guys at a party for that. Many SMs are actually shy, so this works well for them too. Everyone has a great time, and even the people not directly participating enjoy watching this sort of play. It sometimes opens up more opportunities for the girl to play later with other guys that watched and found it and her very hot, because they're more likely to approach her later.
Wingman may have different meanings to different people. Best way to find out what that means to the couple you're going with is to simply ask them.
