A judge has ordered video depositions of former DOGE members be taken down from the interwebs after postings by groups seeking to restore funding.

Stated reason is that the deposed are being subjected to harassment and desth threats.

Unstated reason, it show's DOGE was right to cut stupid shit.

One hillarious passage:

"Why did you identify this as one of the craziest grants?"

"Because it references feminist and queer insights into prison abolition and LGBTQ studies."

"Any other reasons?"

"No."

“Clinton laid off over 300 thousand federal employees”

You’re an idiot. I’ve already explained this to you. But you insist on doubling down on stupidity.

Through legislation. It took seven years to cut the Federal workforce. You want to know why? They had a plan. It took into consideration how the government would operate minus 300k employees.

He didn’t walk in on Monday and tell everyone to be gone by noon.

Your argument is elementary at best. And it shows your willingness to not want to comprehend how something took place. You just want o parrot some guy from Buffalo on Facebook.

"After he was fired on Feb. 14, Yosemite maintenance worker Olek Chmura went on Instagram to ask whether he and his modestly paid colleagues were really an example of the kind of wasteful spending Trump and his appointed efficiency expert, Elon Musk, claim they are trying to eliminate.

“I make just over $40,000 a year; scrape s— off toilets with a putty knife nearly every day,” Chmura wrote. “Somehow, I’m the target.”

Trump administration says it has no plans to fulfill $400 million 'armored Tesla' contract NPR - FEBRUARY 13, 2025

Follow up article by NPR, after digging into it a bit more: "A new document undercuts Trump admin's denials about $400 million Tesla deal"

https://www npr org/2025/02/24/nx-s1-5305269/tesla-state-department-elon-musk-trump

To summarize, they found that actually, the Biden admin had only authorized $483K to study purchasing electric vehicles, The $400M purchase of cybertrucks was added by the Chump administration, and they then tried to lie about it by claiming that it was an order put in place in late December. Such orders would be in the Federal registry in December, but it was not found there. So they lied. Also, they asked former Biden officials and they all said that they didn't have any orders to purchase $400M.

This was 100% added by Elmo Muskrat, to enrich himself.

"Amid Elon Musk’s whirlwind campaign to cut thousands of jobs and billions of dollars in government services in the name of efficiency, a bombshell report Wednesday revealed a staggering amount of taxpayer cash that goes directly to him.

The richest man in the world is one of the biggest earners paid from public money, the Washington Post found.

A deep dive into government contracts, loans, subsidies and tax credits found the South African billionaire has reaped $38 billion dollars of government cash.

The Post reported the payments started more than 20 years ago, as Musk secured a low-interest loan from the Energy Department as CEO of the then-struggling Tesla. That department is one of many now hit by mass layoffs and cuts led by Musk's Department of Government Efficiency. The Post spoke to unnamed sources from inside the government to back up its story.

Almost two-thirds of the cash came in the past five years, according to the report. Just last year, at least $6.3 billion was committed to Musk’s companies. They included cash to build a Tesla factory and NASA contracts to his company SpaceX to aid the moon program.

“The total amount is probably larger: This analysis includes onlypublicly available contracts, omitting classified defense and intelligence work for the federal government,” the Post reported.

It went on, “The Post found nearly a dozen other local grants, reimbursements and tax credits where the specific amount of money is not public.”

The report also found 52 contracts with seven government agencies that are set to pay another $111.8 billion over the next few years. All seven agencies have come under DOGE's microscope."

"WASHINGTON (AP) — A satellite company owned by Elon Musk has the inside track to potentially take over a large federal contract to modernize the nation’s air traffic communications system.

Equipment from Musk’s Starlink has been installed in Federal Aviation Administration facilities as a prelude to a takeover of a $2 billion contract held by Verizon, according to government employees, contractors and people familiar with the work.

Musk said that the network used by air traffic controllers is aging and requires drastic and quick action to modernize it.

“The Verizon system is not working and so is putting air travelers at serious risk,” Musk on Monday posted on X, the social media site he has owned since 2022.

The emergence of Starlink as a potential replacement for the Verizon-led effort underscores the extraordinary conflicts of interest inherent in Musk’s position as both a senior White House adviser to President Donald Trump and a business mogul in charge of a sprawling array of companies. It is not clear what role Musk might be playing in helping Starlink parent company SpaceX win such business.

“There’s very limited transparency,” said Jessica Tillipman, a contracting law expert at George Washington University. Referring to Musk, she said: “Without that transparency, we have no idea how much non-public information he has access to or what role he’s playing in what contracts are being awarded.”

@flip, > Who was running the country the last 3 years ?

Did you not read what I said? Let me make it simple for you,

  1. Elmo's companies made $38B in the past from the gov't, establishing that he has an interest in the gov't
  1. His companies are now going to make $100B going forward. Who is in charge for the next 4 years????
  1. Miraculously, all his company's contracts with the gov't are SAFE from DOGE cuts. Not a single Elmo contract has been cut. In fact, he's grown his gov't business... He pushed the FAA to start a pilot for starlink terminals in air traffic control towers.
  1. Whatever he made before and is going to make in the future is NOT the point. Someone like him should have NO controlling stake in the source of his funding, which is we the taxpayers. He should make a bid and provide the most competitive offer, just like the rest of us schleps. Just because he is a billionaire, WHY DOES HE GET SPECIAL RULES? I don't give a flying F*CK if he did pay over $250M to Chump's campaign, he should still FOLLOW THE SAME RULES AS THE LITTLE PEOPLE WHEN IT COMES TO GETTING GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS.

Someone so dependent on the government teat should not be in the government making decisions about which agencies get to live or not. That's a huge conflict of interest. It's as simple as that.

The fox is definitely running around in the hen house. I heard he now has >$100B in contracts lined up for his companies in the near future.
