OK, I don't know the whole history of the presidential bibles used when swearing the oath. But according to the below website, "George Washington took the oath with his hand on a Bible, and almost all other presidents have followed suit." which says . It's a good tradition, and I hope every future president does the same:

And LBJ used a Catholic missal (book of texts used in the Catholic Mass) that was in JFK's desk. He mistook it for a Bible. As you can imagine, this was just after JFK was shot and it was a rush job. I think the missal counts as good enough, considering the circumstances.

Look, there are 70+ lawsuits against Chump right now which alledge he is VIOLATING the Constitution. This is 100% without precedent. This has never happened before in the history of this democracy. This Chump guy supposedly swore an oath to uphold the constitution, and so far A LOT OF knowledgable people think he's violating it. We'll see what happens in the courts, and if he obeys the court's rulings. If not, THAT'S A CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS AND HE WOULD BE CONSIDERED ENACTING A COUP AGAINST THE US.

Because whoever we vote in, it's implicit that the person we voted in is upholding the constitution that enabled us to vote him in. That is why the person must take the oath to uphold the constitution.

Of course, this jacka** for the first time ever for any president since all the way back to Washington did not hold his hand on the Bible before uttering the oath. I guess that was his sneaky way of crossing his fingers behind his back, ie, he never intended to uphold the constitution. That's what I think.
