Chances are that nearly 100% of all people in my county are immigrants. I mean, jeeze, my family came from England or Poland originally.

If you want to look into my county, go ahead. There are two distinct areas: South and North County. What divides us a HUGE national forest. About 1/2 of the counties population lives in South County which is ~25 miles east to west and 5 miles north to south. North county is the other side of the mountains and forest and that is HEAVILY agricultural.

70 years ago we overthrew Iran's government to instill who we wanted in power for OIL. Is that enough to allow Iranians to have asylum?

Want to get into climate change? IIRC, the US is about 5% of the worlds population but uses 20% of the oil. We create the climate issues. Look at what we are doing to India which is getting wealthier enough so that people have cars and we are trying to STOP that because we know what those added cars will do to the environment.

My problem with asylum seekers is pretty basic. Why are they seeking asylum? For the most part it's because of limited resources where they are. It doesn't matter if it's clean water, economic opportunities, health care, don't care. They are essentially seeking a resource. We have resources, but they too are finite. Without controlled immigration those resources will become overwhelmed and now they have turned this country into the shit hole they came from.

Yes they came by plane but did we actually have a terrorist watch list as robust as we have now? Probably not.
