The Fentanyl has many sides five years ago when We lived in Houston I used to work out with an HPD officer . He disappeared for about 3 weeks . He said he was called out to an apartment complex where a man had taken his clothes off and was screaming . He said he asked people around what the guy was on but nobody would say. He thought bath salts . They hauled the guy in and the officer had to fight with the guy but he said he felt real dizzy and couldn’t breathe . He said it felt like an elephant on his chest. The EMTs immediately gave him Narcan and he went to the hospital . He said Fentanyl was 50 times more powerful then Morophine
and he got it from fighting with the guy.. If you go to the 3rd ward in Houston and mention George Floyd they will laugh at you and say no no you mean Fentanyl Floyd. …A nineteen year old A&M freshman died two weeks ago . They are not saying how or where she got it. ..Most people don’t understand these cartels outside of the border towns . A twelve year old child will murder you and never bat an eye Guadalajara has a cemetery for these type of people . There memorials tombstones are bigger then my house. Texas Rangers used to show videos on these guys and it was brutal . The worse I remember was an aftermath in Neuva Laredo . Two guys pulled their F150 into a straight on parking place . A school bus full of kids blocked the intersection so no vehicles could enter . Two cars pulled up on each side of the F150 so close the doors could not open . The guys in the cars ducked down and ran and guys came out of a building and shot the two guys in the F150…..There will come a day when we will have to address the Cartels and the governments involved .

The major problem I see with Fentanyl is that users often take it unintentionally. They take a dose of cocaine (or whatever) that they feel is relatively safe in their experience, and find themselves overdosing because the product was cut with Fentanyl.

Fentanyl is also so potent that I think it's easy for dealers to make dosage errors, creating product that is far more harmful than intended.

Considering how toxic Fentanyl is, I'd support charging dealers who put it in other product with attempted homicide. On this issue, I'd support some asian level law enforcement. For some reason this just isn't a major problem in Singapore.

People have been doing drugs, and other risky thrill seeking adventures for thousands of years, it probably isn't going to change. I would like to see the risk profile lowered however.

I'd also support some funding for low cost drug test kits to be distributed free (or nearly free) so users have the opportunity to check to see if they have "clean" drugs. I think many would probably start pushing back on dealers who sell tainted drugs, if they knew. Make these test kits easily available where alcohol or cigarettes are sold.

I’ll put it to you this way, everyone on this topic who makes light of the problem at the border and the amount of fentanyl coming across the border. You’d damn sure know the pain this shit brings if your child or grandchild dies from this shit!

So instead of talking shit about this stuff, be mindful that there are people on here who have lost children and or grandchildren from this drug.
