2nd impeachment

Sapp......do you forget silly Democrats threatened impeachment before Trump even took office? The only reason Trump was impeached is because Dems had a house majority. It's the only fucking reason. Dems have made impeachment nothing but a political tool now. All the things going on in this country now and stinking ass Democrats are only worried about Trump. What pathetic leaders. Divided we will most certainly stay.

Republican Senators such as Nikki Haley calling for unity is like a whore calling for virginity.

Someone’s not coming but impotent in their “legal” analysis on the impeachment trial.

Whether Trump is convicted or not matters not so much to as that he was impeached this second time.

Frankly, I don’t expect enough GOP Senators to recover a conscience that they’ve already castrated in their eunuch service to Trump.

I’m curious to see how McConnell votes given what he has said about Trump.

I feel extremely confident about how historians will judge Trump and that judgment matters to me.

The majority of Americans had the good sense to vote him out of office in November 3rd. I feel confident they will give him a bigger kick in the ass if GOP selects him as their candidate in 2024.

The voting machines are basically Scantron machines, the same ones thousands of educational institutions have been using for 50 years to grade tests.

EA if your a salesman. , you may want to go to work for CNN instead ! You would do well there bullshiting people like yourself.

Nice try though.

It's amazing what happens.

I wonder how long you will go.

You started the spin prior to the election. Since the election it is something is coming next week, just wait. Here we are, with Biden in the WH and you are still going on and on about the carrot on the stick. This plethora of evidence that is coming. What a joke.

Saying Dominion will lose the suit. You illiterate, you have no idea what Dominion machines even do. So let me try this for you, in simple phrases.

They are tabulators.

They count the bubble on the piece of paper that someone filled in.

The paper is still there.

The recounts were done, the first pass with the machines. The outcome didn't change.

The recounts were done, the second pass, without the machines, by hand. The outcome didn't change.

The recounts were done, the THIRD time, without the machines, by hand. The outcome didn't change.

Yet . . . somehow . . .some way . . . the illiterate thinks that there is a fraud.

Hmm.

Facts don't care about your feelings.

Oh your head is so far up your own ass. , and the main stream media helped you lube that head of yours !

OMG . . .

Another one . . .

Seriously . . .

In front of congress . . .

In a trial . . .

Potentially with the world watching . . .

They are going to peddle lies to congress?

In my best Roger Rabbit . . . . pppppppuuuuuuuuulllllllllllllease do it.

Lying to congress would be first charge.

Perjury would be another.

Then there would be defamation suits out the wazoo. You would see the ballot workers, who have standing, go after the people for that.

Trying to bring lies into a courthouse/function? WOW.

Good luck with that.

Right now, if they shut up, the worst outcome is Trump can't run again. If they talk, they risk Trump not running again, perjuring themselves and leaving themselves open for prosecution and getting Trump to be able to run again. Those are the three outcomes. It's not going to be a soapbox where they can stand and just rant about bullshit stories thinking they are unleashing the Kraken.

“ If the trial for insurrection does happen, there's nothing to stop the president's attorneys from spending a solid two weeks describing and presenting details of fraud in great detail; for all the nation to see.”

What fraud?

Trump is looking forward to Feb 8th !

The last thing the establishment-swamp wants is this trial. They want to get back to grifting, influence peddling, and power mongering. If the trial for insurrection does happen, there's nothing to stop the president's attorneys from spending a solid two weeks describing and presenting details of fraud in great detail; for all the nation to see. And that would be a spectacle the mainstream media wouldn't be able to hide.

So what would congress do then? Charge him a 3rd time for speaking more harmful words?

Chief Justice Roberts Will Not Preside Over Trump Senate Impeachment Trial.

Very Interesting !

Trump will go down in history as the first president in American history to be impeached twice.

Even if he is not convicted, the impeachment makes a strong, welcome statement to many of us, and this second impeachment may get more opposite party support than any impeachment in history.

The final results do not matter to me. I like the record of Trump getting impeached twice.

It also helps mess up the GOP party some more especially after even McConnell is willing to consider voting for it.

I’m also amused to see ambitious GOP figures such as Cruz or Hawley or others run against Trump in primary if he tries to run again in 2024.

Trump does not have a majority of the two younger generations on his side and there will be more of them voting in 2024.

Voters 18-30 voted 59% against Trump or for Biden in 2020.

Trump should also be in court a lot losing some cases most probably and that will not help his campaign

By those missing some pre-frontal cortex and conscience will be enthusiastic for Trump as birds of a feather.

If the Democrats had any real BALLS they would impeach all of the 75 million who support Trump as being criminals.

Those kind of stats are interesting from porn sites. If SC doesn't show as 3some being a huge search I clearly haven't been jerking off enough lol

SomethingsComing:

I grew up in NJ, went to college in Connecticut, and worked 3 years in NYC after college before moving to California. I've just made a few short visits to states in the South over the last 30 years. I would love to visit all 50 states in the USA to know the country better. The SLS forum gives me a little chance get a feel of a few people in states I have never visited or don't know very well. I do try to read much about the history of the USA from 17th century to 2021, which takes me to listening carefully to voices in many states, including the South as I do like studying the the 1776-1789 era, antebellum America, the Civil War, the Reconstruction era. Books and Google help me to do some virtual traveling.

HERE IS WHERE I LEARNED SOMETHING ABOUT THE PORN THAT IS MOST FAVORED IN DIFFERENT STATES (AND RED VS BLUE PREFERENCES IN PORN).

Just days after the GOP’s draft platform declared pornography a “public health crisis,” xHamster has hit back by revealing red states’ X-rated viewing habits. Turns out “cuckold” and “mature” porn are the leading categories among viewers in conservative states.....

xHamster hasn’t released actual viewership numbers, but it has revealed the top-three categories in each red state. The overall reigning genres are “cuckold,” which is a leading category in all but five of the states, and “mature,” which ranks in all but seven. Amateur porn is a hit in nine of the states: Idaho, Indiana, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Texas, and Utah. Then there’s “creampie” and “anal,” which each show up in a couple states.

Some categories seem particularly politically relevant. “Ebony” or “interracial” rank in several states in the Deep South: Arkansas, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, as well as Texas. (Alabama is curiously omitted from xHamster’s data.) In Wyoming and Nebraska, two states that attempted to ban same-sex marriage, they really like “lesbians”—at least in their porn.

So can you explain why cuckold and interracial are among favorite porn searches in several Conservative Red states or deep South states.....?

ps. There are also some studies of favorite porn in various countries around the World.

Onehullvaguy,

I forgot. Another baseball book I love is Jim Bouton's "Ball Four." It was so irreverent. It seemed to be the first sports book that wasn't glorifying star plays or doing a hagiography,.

Bouton reported on Mantle doing "beaver shooting": going under the stands to try to look up skirts of women, and that he was a bad drunk too much of the time.

I always argued with my teammates in Little League that Mays was better than Mantle. I was a big SF Giant fans and most kids where I grew up in NJ loved the Yankees.

My father hated the Yankees. He loved rooting for the underdog. It helped me become a big NY Mets fan. I'll never forget that Willie Mays hit a home run at Shea Stadium the first time playing there for the NY Mets.

My favorite player on the teams with Mantle was Bobby Richardson at second base. I also like Tony Kubek at Shortstop as that is my favorite position, but preferred Buddy Harrelson with the Mets and Jose Pagan with the Giants.

Bouton's "Ball Four" was such a rebellious, late 1960s sports book. although It maybe it was first published in 1970.

I think Bouton said Mantle could have been the best if he had taken better care of his health and not been such a big drinker.

My favorite baseball book by far it The Mick. A biography on Mickey Mantel.

Man what a time to live and be a super star.

To read about it then. It was guys having a ton of fun.

JC555,

I have 4000+ books in my home. I read about a lot of different things.

I read about baseball and soccer too.

I love Roger Angell’s books on baseball, which are collections of his essays from The New Yorker.

I love Eduardo Galeano on soccer, particularly “Soccer in Sun and Shadow” and Simon Kuper’s “Soccer Against the Enemy.”

(I played Varsity Soccer in college.)

Following world soccer has taught me a lot about world politics too. France never would have won their 2 World Cups without the immigration of people from Africa to France, including Zidane’s parents from Algeria.

My favorite book on baseball: Satchel Paige, “Maybe I’ll Pitch Forever.”

I like reading literature and history and science too.

I’m reading right now, “Michael Stephens “Breath Taking: The Power, Fragility, and Future of Our Extraordinary Lungs.”

I had severe pneumonia in mid March last year, complicated by sepsis. I was in hospital for 19 days. Fortunately I had a great doctor (and a wonderful set of nurses) keep me alive.

So reading about our lungs is very personal to me right now

My youngest daughter and sister-in-law are nurses. My favorite book on this profession: Christie Watson’s “The Language of Kindness: A Nurse’s Story.”

For science writing, I also love Natalie Angier’s “Woman: An Intimate Geography.” It has a great chapter on the clitoris that might interest you.

Tell me what you are most curious about , and maybe I can fix you up with a good book recommendation.

But I’d recommend for you another recent favorite of mine:

Susan Neiman’s “Learning from the Germans: Race and the Memory of Evil.”

Neiman grew up In Georgia then studied in Germany where she lives now. Her book is a great comparative study of how Germany has responded to Nazism and the Holocaust in comparison and contrast to how the USA has responded to slavery and its own forms of Aryan supremacy. She argues that Germany has done a better job reckoning with its history of evils and racial injustice than the USA. I agree.

I also recommend for you a great novel based on Huey Long from Louisiana: Robert Penn Warren’s “All the King’’s Men” it’s about the rise of a political demagogue in Louisiana.

You can just watch the either one of two movies made from the novel. I like the original film with Broderick Crawford more than the one with Sean Penn.
