It's rumored that some women are disappointed when they learn he doesn't pack an anaconda...
Just look at any news footage of floods and disasters. People are fucking idiots then they cause emergency workers to risk their lives saving their sorry asses.
On tonight’s news they are showing the Texas floods in Kingwood Texas. The firemen have high water vehicles . Trucks jacked up about 12’ . So they have the news team in the back of the vehicle about to go into a flooded subdivision. They encounter a woman at the edge of the water . The fireman tell her to turn around , the water is 7’ deep down the road. So the fireman and the news team take off into the water and look behind them , here comes this woman. She stalls out quickly in about a foot of water. The fireman have to turn around get her into their vehicle call a tow vehicle , some kind of big dune buggy to pull her car out a Toyota Corolla. They ask her what she was doing , she said when she evacuated she forgot her phone. She was returning to get it.
this weather really sucks
"...my dad used to have that plotted out on graph paper, it wrapped completely around all four walls of his office; almost twice."
I was so excited when MarketWatch and BigCharts went live on the internet. Until then, I'd been plotting daily stock and exchange numbers by hand, both as a spreadsheet and as graphs. It cut hours off my weekly work, plus I quickly learned that I didn't need to check for errors.
@goodgollymsmolly98226, my dad used to have that plotted out on graph paper, it wrapped completely around all four walls of his office; almost twice.
WTF indeed- you need an NFL stadium sized monitor to see the original link in its entirety.
Yeah, thanks to weird SLS stuff, long urls don't wrap properly. It's not just on your phone.
If you really want to see it, I can break it up into more pieces, but then you have to play 'find the space and eliminate it.'
Or you can just go here: https://finance.yahoo.c om/quote/%5EGSPC
And then over on the left hand side is a clickable option for CHART. That should give you the chart for the S&P 500 from 1965 to today.
Ditto
"The graph is pretty easy to read"
I'll have to take your word for it. Your post with the url renders horribly on my phone screen.
"stock market like a yo yo"
Depends on your timeline. But for anyone who isn't trading, intraday, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and even annual movements of the stock market aren't important in the way the trendline is. It's all imaginary money until you sell and if the trendline is in your favor, it doesn't matter if the swings are big or little.
Here's a chart for the life of the S&P500: https://finance.yahoo.c om/quote/%5EGSPC/chart/#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
The graph is pretty easy to read, the stick lines on the bottom are trading volume.
stock market like a yo yo
Raising interest rates has the opposite effect of excess government spending. It is also not favorable for stock values (or the value of any other income producing asset for that matter).
good, that was funny
I gotta stop randomly looking at YouTube because I somehow came across this captioned video of South Park's intro from Season1:
youtube. c om/watch?v=2DA9CTdFn94
Damn Kenny, how did that get past the censors?
"It's the damn 70's over again."
You obviously don't remember the 70s.
That's alright. I too have gaps in my memory for that time...
"The damn stock market is down again today. I think it has lost at least 3% in the last week of so. That sucks for those of us who are retired and using our IRAs to live on"
--------
I hope you can direct your IRA investments toward a less volatile mix. If you can, increase your cash positions in your portfolio.
Oh Yes Spoon... markets this year is a joke.. besides option trading I am mainly sitting on sidelines with 5.5% CD'S paid monthly.. adding to our savings guaranteed!
maybe some day trading before markets open.. get in and get out!
The damn stock market is down again today. I think it has lost at least 3% in the last week of so. That sucks for those of us who are retired and using our IRAs to live on. I wish the Congress would stop spending money and the FED would raise interest rates to stop the damn inflation. It's the damn 70's over again.
She's getting plenty of endorsement $$$. Been seeing her on commercials for several companies.
It's all about butts in the seats...
caitlin clark gets 77K but the player with a dick gets 10M
kathy you made my laugh so hard i had tears in my eyes LOL
What is the specific treaty in question? It seems much more a matter of politics to me. And politics sacrosanct to both of our political parties.
We are led by the nose and possibly into war by a reckless and domestically unpopular, currently international pariah of a country that, as you point out, we are keeping afloat. In any other relationship Israel would be a proxy in this security relationship. Here they are increasingly the tail wagging the dog.
