I have three friends in Ukraine. All in Kyiv area. I worry about their safely because there is no respect for civilian life by their invaders. One, took her competition dogs, fled to Poland to a shelter, then on to one of the Skandanavian countries, but she was so homesick and it is hard to earn money when you are uprooted she got word that her neighbor's home was bombed and the blast blew out the windows on that side of her home. She eventually went home, but is preparing to leave again. It is awful. One of my other friends is a seamstress and is trying to keep going, raising money through her sewing for not only her community, but also keeping up with the displaced pets shelter that she was already supporting prior to the invasion. My other friend is pregnant and worries since their hospital got bombed out. I wish my younger son was old enough that I could leave and go help, providing humanitarian aid through Healthcare.
Are y’all hearing funding for the Ukraine war could taper off and end after the midterms . I don’t believe it .

We have zero leverage on Russia. They're about to turn up the heat, and seriously take Ukraine. If/when Russia gets serious and starts to deploy real assets, this game will be over fast. Ukraine doesn't stand a chance, Russia hasn't even begun to flex, and Ukraine is already spent.
I hope they just eradicate the resistance and preserve the common people, or they could easily just flatten the entire region under 7 inches of green glass. The choice is Russias, and I hope they are surgical about it and try to spare innocent life.

Someone China has already made it known that they are 100% backing Russia so has Iran. These Countries know whats going on. Russia crushed NATO IN Ukraine yesterday, 80% of the enemy has been taken out. Russia does its best fighting in the worst coldest weather. Putin has declared martial law in four annexed areas of Ukraine. And here's the kicker, has given law enforcement a couple of days to submit plans for defense, including recruiting a territorial defense force.
Basically, the Russian army can't hold these territories, so this is the next semi-desperate step, along with even greater repression of the populations, in hopes that it will cut down on urban warfare and sabotage.

I don't care about Ukraine. I'm tired of us shooting ourselves in the foot economically in some stupid attempt to punish Putin, which isn't even working. I don't want a nuclear war, and Ukraine isn't worth it. Fuck Ukraine. Ukraine has been part of Russia for most of the last 1000 years.
