Simple Pleasures

Looked outside earlier today and saw a deer between the house and the barn.

Eventually Phoebert and the lawnmower got a bit closer and the deer took off for the neighbor's pasture.

Glacier Point road is finally open.
SP- having breakfast this morning on top of Sentinel Dome and we didn't see another person the entire trip up or back.

Countdown to the west coast of FL, Treasure Island, good friends, some adult beverages and fun times on and off the boat!

YES!

Opened the front door this morning to let the screen down and in the Kacapi Tree, Oak tree 15 feet away are two Doves making a nest at eye level. We usually have Doves nesting around our home. In the back across the open field last week was a Brown Eagle sitting on top of the tree with no leaves. They usually sit on tree branches with no leaves. Red Tail Hawks have a nest in the next tree. Watched one carry a snake to the nest.

Appreciating spending time with Mrs. 888 as she goes through recovery.

An hour drive and the surgeon’s office with my baby for her follow up, but still not allowed in. I went to grab the door to open it and she pushes the “door open” button. Doh!

Spending multiple days together with out 7 and 8 year old grandkids even with being stuck inside

NandR, if so then where are couples having sex? No place better then having sex in the car. Teenage memories.

SP- driving out of the tunnel at Inspiration Point yesterday afternoon and seeing absolutely no cars in the parking lot.

SP-hiking in Yosemite Valley over Memorial Day weekend and seeing as many bears and deer as people.

(After Covid-19 Shutdown) Being served food and a beer in a restaurant. Yay!!

@FaH: Yesterday was her first day in the car (10 minutes) to the walk trails. We stayed on the asphalt and she walked 2 miles. I kept telling myself to slow down because we always power walk. She also shared her biscuit with me last night, but I had to eat slowly, not a problem.

SP- walking in Yosemite Valley and not another soul in sight.

SP- seeing the daffodils in bloom both in the Valley and up at our cabin

SP - waking up to the cool mountain air and hearing only the birds chirping and the wind in the pine trees

Being able to take our first walk outside together since her back surgery five days ago.

Meeting and speaking (all from a safe distance, of course) with neighbors I probably wouldn't have otherwise during my daily walks.

The mower started without having to jump it, and we were able to buy a pack of toilet paper :)

I meant to post two days ago about how pretty the daffodils are.

Snow this morning make them all the more precious.

brilliant red cardinal in an evergreen on a drizzly, gray day - great view outside my kitchen window!

Watching snow come down, the Christmas light on while it is still dark enough to see them. Love the snow falling.

using eggnog instead of cream in my coffee - YUM!

Watching a great classic Christmas movie while sipping some makers mark over ice.
