First time at a nudist resort and had the whole pool and hot tub to ourselves last night. Felt good swimming naked underneath the stars.
Simple Pleasures
NandR, Yes, puts things in perspective. Should make us think, what is there to fight over, there is nothing to WIN.
simple pleasure- watching the NEOWISE comet from the deck of our cabin. Then going up to Glacier Point and seeing it even more clearly against the backdrop of the entire Milky Way stretching from horizon to horizon. Helps keep things in perspective...
We have friendly flower gardens. It takes an hour every morning to water here in dry Colorado. Peppermints area with Rose Bush in the middle are full of Bees. Butterfly's in the Queen Ann's Lace. Sunflower ten feet high. In the past the Squirrels clime up, bite off the flower then pick at it on the ground. Birds nests in the trees. Nature has the balance of nature all together, don't upset the balance of nature. We humans are the biggest up setters of the balance of nature.
Love that the window over my kitchen sink faces mostly west - many nights I get to see lovely colors in the sky while fixing salad for dinner - tonight was especially colorful!
Yeah, me too.
I was thinking the top of Walton's Mountain would be the perfect place for a Joom lens.
With any surplus going to the Wounded Worrier Project?
BT
Yeah, I miss Frank too.
SP: Starting a GoFuckYourself page to raise money to buy a Joom Lens.
Maybe you could also explain to him the difference between a logo and a nickname?
Gotta be awfully lonely for him up there on Walton Mountain...

Silly HFT. The Morning Doves moved out at noon so Afternoon Doves could move in.
Afternoon Doves move out later so Evening Doves can move in. Who then move out at dusk so Night Doves can move in, who then move out at dawn to make way for Morning Doves.
Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
Morning Doves are nesting in our gutter under the overhang, it faces east, gets the morning sun. They moved in a couple of weeks ago and the day before yesterday the two Chicks hatched. The parents are busy feeding them. The Morning Doves like this spot to nest every year. One year one "family" moved out before 12 PM noon, another pair move in and started house keeping with three eggs. Life continues.
a cute bunny not six feet from the outside handicap ramp when I took the dog out last night - luckily the dog was oblivious so I got to watch the bunny a few minutes before it noticed us
But "that" is an amazing body...
That, you have no imagination.
but why?
SP: Framed an uncirculated B&W print of Sinatra this am, gifted to me from a hardcore “Frank-ophile”.

The big 'ol tree on my property makes a great background for bare photos.
Simply pleasurable.
the Sequoia grove of Redwoods is about 20 miles from our place and yes, ancient trees are a simple pleasure. Fortunately for us, the super volcano is supposed to be in Yellowstone, so we're more worried about earthquakes and (especially) fires. Our area was evacuated in the super fire two years ago but nothing burned in the development because of the "super" efforts of the fire teams.
Squirrel?
I think you misspelled "fluffy tree rat with a good PR team"
;)
I don't think I've ever seen a chestnut tree in MN, so I'm gonna say no.
Someone in my neighborhood has a walnut tree. Frigging squirrels tear up my yard to bury the nuts they steal from some other yard, and tear it up even more when they can't remember where they buried them. They leave the shells for me to run over with the lawn mower.
The pine trees, squirrels and a pair of 70 pound dogs are the reasons I can't have a nice lawn.
Does Minnesota still have American Chestnut trees?
We've never been to Yosemite. Some day.
I always think of the huge/old trees there. There's one on my property that has got to be well over 400 years old. I say that because not far away is an area known as "The Lost 40". When surveying once upon a time, the area was missed on maps and loggers figured the area was a lake or swamp- an area that couldn't be surveyed- so they never logged it off like they did the rest of the MN forests. Now it's protected park. Trees on The Lost 40 are 400 years old, and the one on my property dwarfs those.
That ancient tree is a SP.
NandR, Is that also known as, "shacking up"? Sounds like a great Idea. Watch out for the Super volcano.
simple pleasure: Spending eight of the last nine weekends in Yosemite. One bear (a yearling) and lots of deer this time.
momma deer brought her 2 babies to our mountain house today
