Simple Pleasures

Trooper loves french nails. I indulge him every now and then by having mine done that way but not often as I don't care for them. And they really don't go with my retro look.

I mostly do french. I've got a pretty purple right now, though. Looks like jelly beans!

I am just so hungry this morning! Using the vegetable broth per Dr. Oz, I made a chicken egg drop soup. I got the recipe off the internet and added the chicken so as to have extra protein. It is so good! I feel warm all over and that's always good.

I had a glorious day at church today. The regular pastor was on vacation and the speaker of the day gave such an on time message on mentoring. I was totally there. Then I stayed for the potluck, which I never do as my food issues are not compatible with a typical Baptist Church meal. I made the mac & cheese and a roasted chicken from Sam's Club. I should have made two pans of mac and cheese because it disappeared in the blink of an eye. You know I carried my veggies and green tea....LOL...it was a great day.

Patient from an emergency the other night walked all the way over from another dept , dragging her patents along with her so they could meet me and get a pic of her with me for her baby's book. Ferklempt barely touches how I felt and that's the most accurate word I can think of that comes even close. Very humbling.

This wonderful ice cream I am enjoying right now.

Today, Sunday I taught my 13 year old grandson how to remove the snow tires on rims and put the regular tires on rims on his grandmothers car. Front wheel drive. I had him do each step from first locking the emergency break to unlocking it at the end. I told him the reason for each step so he would have a understanding of changing tires. I told him his second lesson will be around Thanksgiving when WE put the snow tires back on. HE IS 5' 7 " TALL AND GAVE ME A BIG HUG AND SAID, "THANK YOU GRANDPA FOR TEACHING ME".

LOL. between the wind and the current, that river kicked our asses. it was an amazingly beautiful day for it tho.

I woke up to an e-mail in my box from the Peter O'Neill gallery with some of his new "erotic" work. It is so, so nice. I may go to the gallery in St. Augustine, FL.

SP- I quiet night in with my man!

SP: Night with hubby, heading out for food of the gods, a bottle of Japanese wine. Then back home to finish some unfinished business from last night ;)

The pool and patio was redone where I live. I spent the entire day there. It was a perfect day -- cloudy, not too hot and a slight breeze. And best of all, I met one of my neighbors and we hit it off immediately. She is a blast. It was a great day.

I love the ballet but it seems I only get to go when it's my birthday. .. so it's always "the Nutcracker"

A ballet company is performing in Vero tonight and tomorrow night and I am going! I love the ballet and love even more that I don't have to travel to West Palm Beach or some other distant venue.

Kibbs: It's called doing more with less...sucks! Know you pulled it off. After almost one year at my place, I finally sat on the patio! It was great.

Survived a Hellish day of being charge. BUT, I got everyone squared away with timely breaks, etc and they were able to count on me for what they needed

Meanwhile a friend of mine got to train my preceptee for the day. {sigh} same pay, less fun!
