The smell of freshly baked brownies just before they come out of the oven.

Going to an early showing of "How to Train our Dragon 2" with the cub.
Honestly seeing the kindness exhibited on this very forum. Many of you here are incredibly kind.
Awww!
Simple Pleasures: when you're thinking about someone special and that person texts you out of "nowhere." Happens with my kids and me a lot, but also sometimes friends.

Well wishes and good thoughts and prayers to those of you with ailing fathers. Mine is probably in the last stages of Alzheimer's. But I am grateful he is able to enjoy simple pleasures like a Coke and a candy bar, and that a kind word will make him smile.

Likewise, sweetie. We can pray on the "buddy system"
Thank you Sed and Carrie. Kibs, positive vibes coming you way.

Thanks ladies. my dad really isn't a very old, only 64. However even though he overcame polio as a child and led very active life these past handful of years post polio syndrome has really taken its toll on him and has been increasingly more limiting to his activity level I'm sure that played a part in the condition of the heart now.
Hoping for a speedy recovery, for your dad, Jan!
Carrie
Jan,
Positive thoughts to your dad.
And apologies to NJ (not NY) fingers on a laptop don't work well.
Jan
Thanks Kibs and ny and blessings to your dad Kibs. My dad is a health nut. At 84 still plays tennis, just gave up softball last year, eats extremely healthy and had a massive a few weeks ago. He is very lucky to be alive.
NY enjoy that cross-over, they grow up fast it truly is a very simple pleasure, but I call them precious moments.
Jan
I know what you mean. I'm going to see my dad in a few days. He's looking at open heart surgery in the near future.
SP: Taking the day off to go home and spend the day with my daddy, who just survived a massive heart attack. I am so very thankful he is still here, and completing the finishing touches on my parents' 60th wedding anniversary surprise party next month.

SP: Finishing season 3 of the Game of Thrones! Cannot believe that we couldn't get into it when it first aired.
SP: Watching an insecure individual make a total fool of themselves. Quite pleasurable.
New paint, an easel, brushes, and inspiration. ELO and Pink Floyd as background music.
SP- crafting with my kiddo's! Swaps for camp, then saddle pads for their horses are on today's project list!
Raining like cats and dogs in Jersey, stuffy, warm and sticky. But, being in the glassed off three seasons room, is enjoyable, A/C on, sipping on a Cosmo and watching the gray skies.
Sitting in my stand waiting for that perfect buck
Thanks S_Couple! So far so good! :)
SP: Getting all green lights on Rt. 9. Sed and the NJ people will know what I'm talking about!
Cuddling, with hubby, in bed before getting up and starting the day.
Carrie
