Ditto on The Recruit and Night Agent. Enjoyed both.
"Landman"
We started that a couple weeks ago. Just finished episode 8 last night. It has been entertaining so far.
We watched both seasons of Lioness prior and enjoyed that as well.
I'm also about 5 or 6 episodes into season 2 of Night Agent. I do like that as well...I did like The Recruit on Netflix also which is similar to Night Agent in terms on genre.
we enjoyed Landman
We tried watching Landman and it was just meh, to us. Never really grabbed our interest.
Though this is not a new series, we started watching Suits a while ago. The are 9 seasons and we're up to season 5 already. This is a series that you'd likely be able to tell after the first episode if you'll like it or not. While it's fun to watch and the characters that do this shit for real make tons of money, I would never want to live that way.
Well, we really liked Landman and have found all of the characters personalities to be what makes the show a good one. In regard to a few newer ones, we have watched is Lioness, Night Watch and Paradise
Just finished binge watching Landsman. Billy Bob Thornton's character has some great monologues, but pretty much every character is an unlikeable asshole.Not one of Taylor Sheridan's better efforts
I’ve listened to two different podcasts in the last week that mentioned her. I wondered why she was in the zeitgeist again.
Apple Cider Vinegar, 6-episode miniseries about Belle Gibson, a fraudster who made huge amounts of money faking her self-curing cancer and killing hundreds of people who left their cancer treatment to follow her.
As someone who has long had an intense interest in the general topic, i was both enthused and enraged by the whole thing. I thought it was really good.
I’ve been watching Astrid. It’s a French series about an autistic crime analyst and a police commander working together. The police commander can only be described as chaotically neurotypical. It’s a great series. Kind of a twist on the Holmes/Watson dynamic.

In the middle of binge-watching All Of Us Are Dead from South Korea. A bunch of high school students are trapped in the school while a zombie outbreak overwhelms the city. Apparently, the Koreans are really into creative zombie horror, like the Kingdom series and Train to Busan.
If you're tired of Hollywood, Korean movies/TV are putting out some interesting product.

Baby Reindeer is this bizarre, hair pulling story that makes you tell the screen “don’t do it!”
The new Kevin Hart series "Fight Night" is really worth watching.
They didn't dump the whole series at once though.
The cast is amazing. Samuel Jackson and dozens of others. The clothes, cars and houses from the 60's and 70's is incredible.
Reminds me of the ppl the did the wardrobe/costumes for Eddie Murphy in the "Dolemite" movie.
They should really win awards for the costume design if the series doesn't win anything.
The Baby Reindeer one looked interesting. We're currently watching a Netflix series called The Magicians. We liked the looks of it but it was a little daunting that it had 5 seasons already. Finally bit the bullet and started watching it and we're up to season 4 and still enjoying it. Based on the title, you can already tell this falls under a fantasy genre.

I checked out my first episode, and added it to the DVR rotation. It's definitely more 'gritty' than Billions.
