JW~ how did I ended up playing dish jenga today when we had thanksgiving dinner at our son's house?!? where did all these dirty dishes come from?!?
Just Wondering
On the one hand, there's the blowback thing and I want nothing to do with it for practical reasons.
The other thing is that I believe I owe them a measure of morality and respect. As for the morality, it's not a religious or spiritual thing, it's about a personal code of conduct. Plus, if I play with a woman without her man's knowledge and permission, I'm disrespecting him. I believe that I have an obligation to maintain that code, for my own moral well-being. I can still play with a married lady under this code, but I only want to do it if I can while still showing respect for her husband/partner.
People lie about everything.
@flip I’m assuming that the 2of you are honest with one another so why tolerate it from a nobody?
Lying liars that lie to a spouse are likely capable of doing other damage, don’t you think?
Definitely not good but we have always not worried about that tbh. It's not our problem and there's very little chance of us getting blowback from a spouse of the person we played with. Even if we did have some blowback, we wouldn't worry about it.
So I have been wondering what some of ypu think of the people who describe themselves as in the lifestyle but have partners at home believing they are in a monogamous relationship.
I get too many of these messages and often wonder what others think. It strikes me as a person who uses stereotypes as a convenient means to an end.
I'm not saying I know what's coming but it's coming and won't be good. I think most people would agree unfortunately. And I think everybody here would agree regardless of what side you're on that we can't continue the way we're going
I just had this conversation here with an unlikely friend yesterday. I suppose you could consider him Diet Maga.
Interestingly, he voiced many of the same concerns. That gives me some hope.
Even though I was eager to escape home, I remained friends with some people on FB and so many died during covid because of conspiracy disinformation.
It’s all heart breaking isn’t it? I don’t think that they want this except for the full blown cluster B types. When you invest so much hope into a person, then they fuck you over? You rationalize. It’s emotional not logical by that point.
It’s too much for most people to grasp any understanding of a scorched earth personality.
For those of us who have known one or more of these monsters? The whole process is like being a captive audience to an apocalypse.
windowShopping7 - I use FB Marketplace, and every now and then while logging into FB I see something troubling. In this case, it was a friend I grew up with and she was regurgatating a message obviously designed to create more party line division. We have a leader using hate and division to fuel rage, pushing people apart. Many are already so filled with rage that they can't even see this is happening.
The National Guard deployment was a piece of it, but there are seemingly many pieces of things trying to push people apart by purposefully trying to generate rage. I just don't see a happy ending here.
So far, demonstrations by both camps have remained peaceful, but I unfortunately don't have a lot of faith things will remain that way. Some are just looking for a fight, and I suspect they'll eventually find one. If/when that happens, it may well be the trumped up proof (pun intended) needed to declare an insurrection exists. It seems clear (to me at least) that this is the purpose of generating the rage.
YES Peoples First Florida 2 days .. amazing as people all over USA were affected with a stoppage on choosing insurance plans etc!
They told me today they are still having all sorts of hidden issues !
@Mayhem was it the TX NG deployed into IL that left that impression?
Hegseth is such a chucklehead, are you entirely certain that Petey could manage large state invasion?
He seems more concerned about the show and blotting any forehead shine in his million dollar make up room at the Pentagon.
The money should’ve gone to our veterans.
Can't help but wonder if it's possible we could see another US Civil war. Things certainly seem to be headed in that direction.
“ Maybe you don't know a lot of poor, white, poorly educated, very religious folks. At least not American ones. I do and the difference between what you see in group.”
I grew up around that. The town had 12 churches and no dry cleaner, not even a coffee franchise until years later. Where was the “Sunday best” cleaned?
I think most of what people say is the result of routine. I say OMG, but it’s simply habit and most certainly not based on belief.
Our learning management system was down.
Students couldn't do their work
"Was anyone else impacted by the AWS Web Services outage? "
CMS's EPPE data service was down.
Xero, our bookkeeping portal, was down.
Atlassian, which we use for project management, was down.
Our accountant's tax document portal was down.
Our remote notary service was down. Even at 3:30 they werent back up. We had to drive to a UPS store to get an affidavit notarized to submit to a court.
So - yes. Very very much so.
That could very well be the difference GGMM.
" I know plenty of very religious "white people" and most of them don't make public proclamations of it constantly..."
Maybe you don't know a lot of poor, white, poorly educated, very religious folks. At least not American ones. I do and the difference between what you see in group chats/socials feeds and what I see is just Spanish vs English. In the US it's about class though, rather than ethnicity.

<p><span style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:tahoma,verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:14px">We have lots of Alexa controlled smart bulbs and ceiling fans. Most of them don't have any wall switches, so the only way to control them is via Alexa. But since it was the daytime and since it has finally cooled off in Florida, we didn't need to use any of them. </span></p>
<p><span style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:tahoma,verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:14px">There were several websites that we could not get to because of the outage. </span></p>
"Was anyone else impacted by the AWS Web Services outage? "
------
Yes. fortunately I was aware of the outage prior to sevaral automated Alexa routines started yapping at me that she couldn't complete them. Lol. Ironically, the only routines that weren't affected were connected to the devices that were 'un-upgradeable' due to them not being Amazon devices, and the links to those routines are unaffected.
Was anyone else impacted by the AWS Web Services outage? We came back from our timeshare and noticed Alexa was broken. Would have sucked for someone with a lot of smart lights/plugs/applicances. Did some errands and it seems to all be working now.
I'm on 2 baseball teams but also a couple of teams that organize only for tournaments. Most of the time, the chats are entirely in Spanish. While I can sorta read Spanish and can Google something if I must, the sheer rate of incoming messages (>200 a day across them all) is too much for me to justify translating them all. I quickly scan them looking for anything that seems important, and once in a while remind the team leads that if there's anything really important that I need to know they probably should include an English version.
In between all the blatantly racist and sexist bullshit comments, at least 1/3 of these posts are benediction-style memes, like:
Buenos días! Que tengas un maravilloso día y una semana bendecida. Feliz lunes!
(Good morning! Have a wonderful day and a blessed week. Happy Monday!)
Followed by 3-4 "amen"s or "gloria a dios" (Glory to God) type followups.
JW: why is this such an important part of Latino culture? I know plenty of very religious "white people" and most of them don't make public proclamations of it constantly, and if they do it's usually met with a lot of eye-rolling.
Cracker? Pffttt...
Polly wanna bust a nut.
SQUAWK!
Well that’s an interesting alternative to Polly wants a cracker.
"...she tends to yell "Fuck me, fuck me, fuck me!!!" in bed..."
If she also yells "cum on my tits", I've seen the video with the parrot screaming those phrases in front of a "polite" guest for tea.
I believe the "parrot" quote was: "SQUAWK, Fuck me Jonathon, Fuck me, SQUAWK. Cum on my tits, cum on my tits. SQUAWK"
Parrot: it's what's for dinner.
