Christmas Eve with our son and his family ,Jersey Christmas day with our daughter and her family .
Holiday Plans
We will be traveling home on Christmas eve from a family wedding in Louisville this weekend. Rob will cook a prime rib, our Christmas tradition, and we will enjoy a quiet day together on Christmas day.
My girls will be here Saturday for a week. On Christmas day we - along with my son - go to my ex-husband's place in Seattle for presents and dinner. It's been at my house since 2012, but my son has a compound fracture and can't drive, so we switched it up.
Anyway, it's always great to hang out together. Politics isn't a problem and neither is boredom and I know how lucky that is.
Sorry to hear Velma.
We are doing a Tour de Panty this year....lol
An MFM for Christmas Eve titled Stocking stuffing 101, then a stop along the way of a road trip down I81 at some friends titled A couple’s XXXMas Caroling. Speaking of Carol, an FMF in KY titled Making holiday butter in the holler. Then on to Louisville, titled Swinging wood like a champ, Slugger style.. From there, we are headed south to Oak Ridge, Tn titled It’s wood, keep knocking, for our 20th anniversary. Then a few days NC for an MFM titled The Bull rider where Mrs 888 is going to show her talents off. Then into Va to keep Virginia’s Secret before coming home.
Just kidding........
........maybe.

We have mixtures of those along with the Republican-haters at ours. The one we are going to this year is predominantly Trump lovers. When we go to Canada it's even worse, as they are universally not only Republican-haters but also rather drastically unaware of how American politics or life actually works, and on top of it all they all seem to think that I am somehow responsible for the situation in American politics and want to hold me accountable for it.
Coming to the right conclusion for the wrong reasons irks me too. When these political discussions come up, almost nobody knows what the hell they are talking about irrespective of what side of things they are on. When I have one person arguing that Trump is right to be building the wall because our country is being bankrupted by murderous Mexicans against another who argues that Trump is wrong because we should open up the border to everyone and fund socialized housing and food for them all by seizing the assets of anyone worth more than $1 million and make driving gasoline cars illegal, does it really matter who is the Trump hater or the Trump lover?
Anyway - I have plenty of thoughts about political matters. What I have a shortage of is anyone capable of having an intelligent discussion about them with. So I don't. I make spectacular drinks and just keep everyone nicely buzzed so they don't try to talk about anything serious.
Sunday lunch with my family at my nephews. His mother (my sister) will not be there, so it should be a great time.
Nothing on Christmas Eve.
Christmas Day at my wife's Trump loving grandparents. And her Trump loving aunt.
That's gonna be like the Bataan Death March.
have the whole week off, so the rest will be hanging out with the kids. Which is the best part of the whole thing...
Work,work, work, work... bah humbug
since both my sons and husband have to work christmas eve and/or christmas day, we are having a christmas brunch on sunday
For sure i m home. For sure love to make party from Saturday to next Saturday in m place.... i have one holl in wall (glory holl ready )..... :) wish you guys fun beautiful holiday. ..... :)
Spending Christmas with the family in CA. SiL has a long list of projects for me to work on around the house. Not complaining though, I enjoy doing those things for the ones I love.
We'll be doing the same thing we always do - a whole lot of driving and cooking.
Have a good one.
What’s everyone doing for the holidays this year? Anything fun or interesting or non-vanilla?
My husband surprised me with a last minute trip to Indianapolis to run in a Christmas Day 5K. We’re also doing a race New Years Eve and New Years Day.
We’re mostly kid-free so the plan is plan to spend most of vacation watching Travelers on Netflix. A friend of mine recently got me into Outlander, so that’s on the list as well.
What else is everybody doing?
