There is no hidden agenda or slang behind the phrase "A perfect gentleman" in the lifestyle. It means exactly what it says. It just let potential couples or ladies you may meet know that you don't act like a fool or behave strange in any way. They can meet you with confidence that you will treat them with respect if they decide to play with you. I get called a gentleman all the time in my certs.
I can’t get more urban than where I live, and Philly can slang with the best of them. Never heard that as a negative.
and I’ve never heard it used as anything but a true complement, particularly for young men or for a man who could have taken advantage of a situation but didn’t.
