We love to host, whether in our home or hotel. Condoms, lube, wet wipes, tissues, drinks, etc are always within easy reach. And always finger foods in between rounds. ;) As far as “end time”, this is always communicated ahead of time, but a good sign is when clothes start to come on again and the sexy times have officially come to an end.
Got to have some water for the road. After it's over and some small talk I get up dressed and leave. I make sure I offer to split the room. Most say no but I have left it on the counter or the next time I pick up dinner. I don't hang around for long since I think there is more fun after I leave. I always send a quick text thanking them for a great time (and it is) and I hope to see them again. I must be doing something right since most stay in touch and we have met again. They know that I am a sure thing, no backing out or cancelling. Sometimes it's only dinner but I'll be there.
Oh yes or ask do you want a bottle of water and banana for the road.. hint hint !

Like a lot of women, I carry a purse and have pretty much everything I need, including a toothbrush for after. So, I just need a towel and washcloth.
As a host, a shower, towels, and toiletries are available for the asking, but I'm usually too sex drunk to offer, so guests are kind of on their own to be proactive.
We concur and always lay out towels, wash cloths, lube, condoms, etc. the steak dinner comes much later.
For my services, I typically require a perfectly cooked medium rare Porterhouse steak, baked potato, steamed California Blend vegetables, and a glass of milk chilled to exactly 37 degrees. For dessert, Chocolate pudding, Lava Cake, and French Silk Pie available for me to choose whatever suits my fancy on that particular night.

In all seriousness, I'm not sure if you are entertaining a male or female, so I will give the perspective of a SM.
The most common thing I run into with "newer" couples, and sometimes experienced ones that are new to me, is not having something conveniently located to put a used condom and the wrapper in. It is actually rather awkward walking around in a house you have never been in before, looking for a trash can. Wash cloths and a towel, (forget the nice stuff, just something functional), to clean up with afterward. Unless you live in an area with horrible tasting water, a pitcher of ice and tap water with some glasses will suffice.
If you entertain a guy who expects more than that, throw him out the door, whether or not he is dressed.
When you get down to it, he should be asking you what you would like for him to bring.
RonKathy answered very well, we have a bathroom prepped with fresh towels, mouthwash, disposable toothpaste and toothbrush, and while our guest is welcome to freshen up we relax and make ourselves comfortable; then do good byes and hubby walks them to the door (we don’t get to do overnights very often at all - but we also let our guest know this whenever we are communicating).
all the above before and after.. its just a good host rule to follow.
For "us" we like to find out what they enjoy drinking, sometimes wine cheese crackers, other times a variety of Charcuterie board.. we have mouth wash, wipes, and even offer for them to take a shower after if needed. Nice music, nice lighting with some candles, lube by the bed..and the rest is history!

Hasn't happened yet, but it will soon. Maybe a really silly question/concern, but what happens afterwards? We'll be hosting, so do we have toiletries available for afterwards (travel size stuff). Offer after-play snacks, beverages? LOL
