SLS _wayne
How about this, tell the web developers that the paying customers are not happy with the site. I doubt life-stylers are going to remember to change a pic from portrait to landscape just to post it to SLS after a night of fun. That's cumbersome.

And the only plausible retort: "If you don't like it, find another site."

Other sites have the rotate feature in their picture editing prompts why can't SLS. This is a common complaint. SLS is just too slow to change for the better.

Can this question be answered in your very next reply, without the fluff?:

Why hasn't SLS updated its features to be on the same level as its competitors?

You appear to be a middle man, just trying to do his job, rehashing the same thing you've been saying for years. And every time there's a complaint, SLS_Wayne is on the scene, but hardly, if anything gets resolved to the liking of the actual individuals that use this platform. Other platforms have greatly improved their interfaces to accommodate the changes. If SLS wants to stay RELEVANT it needs to do the same.

Its not just iphones. Its the site not compatible with up to date technology. Mac does the same crap.

For iPhone users, I found a way that I believe should correct the sideways/upside down pictures. After you take a picture on your phone, edit that picture and use the rotate button to rotate it slightly and then rotate it back to 0 and save it. It should then upload correctly. That only takes a few seconds.

Seems there’s always an excuse. Or blame it on the user. We’ve stopped trying to post pics here. We’re not emailing photos to you or anyone else. Shouldn’t have to. Maybe you should sell the site to someone who’s gonna run it correctly. It’s a shit show to say the least. Many of us can’t even set plans up for tge weekend because stuff half a$$ works or doesn’t work at all. Maybe it’s truly time to dump this disaster and go to the others.

Over the years, policies and laws have changed and viewpoints have changed. Maybe they are very old pictures. Maybe someone made a mistake. The Unlimited (Lifetime) members make mistakes. Every sideways picture you see is a mistake made by someone as they did not mark it as 'bad' so we would see it and rotate it. If you send me a private message with a profile name, I can give you an exact answer.

We could probably post dozens of examples that disprove this Wayne… many have similar or more revealing pics that what’s been flagged on our profile. We kind of just gave up on the app other than quick IM checks and generally stick to the browser version now.

Any picture that is not 'G' rated will be marked "Not app safe". So PG pictures are not app safe.

Most of the time we just don’t add new pics because of the hassle. Have tried using the app, but 90% of our pics are apparently too hot for SLS and “not app safe” because you can see high heels & a little leg! Oh the horror?!? And to think we’re banned from approving pics due to accuracy lol There’s no rhyme or reason to what pics get approved or denied. We can have a perfectly PG pic flagged as not app safe, then see a profile with full frontal.

We generally are happy to exchange pics off site as it’s far simpler than having to email them to ourself from a phone so we can upload via the website only to have them rotated or not approved. It’s become a hassle.

Many of the profiles we view have their pics sideways as a result of this. It is frustrating so we simply have not uploaded photos.

Wayne,

Is there a way to reorient the pictures. All of the photos we uploaded are sideways. When we edited them and then uploaded they were also sideways.

Thanks.

You have full control over you custom galleries. SLS will not automatically add pictures to any of those galleries. You need to go to "Tools" and "Manage Galleries". On that page you can select "Edit" by that custom personal gallery to edit it and add the new pictures.

We just uploaded a number of pics to our personal gallery, and they show up in the correct position and have been approved but don't show up when I view our personal folder. I have a total of 28 approved pics but the folder says I only have 21. Why are the new ones not showing??

We have uploaded some new pictures and they are all sideways. Is there a way to rotate them?

Nope, have to contact support and have them fix it

This happened to me recently. In my pics it was normal. Hummm

Yeah this seems to be an issue with downloading here deleting them and rotate them before you upload seems to work most of the time good luck

You have to contact Wayne or email photos to SLS support with a note attached explaining what album you want them in and they have to add them for you. I tried posting the email address but the forum restricts that too.

Yes it’s absurd, but this is the workaround they put in place.
